Ah, I remember my first house in Skingrad. And the frustration of trying to decorate it with stolen goods. Running into walls with a planter dangling from my digital fingertips.

Yeah, I kinda hope they are expensive. With 1 Tam, people will have low level alts selling mats, lots of money in the economy, etc. It should be easy to get rich quick.

They did mention that housing would be purchasable with in-game gold, but don't kid yourself. Housing would be too much of a cash cow for ZOS to ignore the possibilities of making money from the crown store. One way or another, they will reach into your wallet

I'm really glad to hear houses will be purchased with gold and crafters can make and sell decorations. And I'm fine with them also selling stuff (even whole houses) in the crown store as long as it goes alongside that system.

Just like with mounts, if you just want a mount you can choose to buy one with either gold or crowns. You only need to use crowns if you want something fancy.

I'm perfectly fine with them monetizing aspects of housing as long as they do it in a reasonable fashion and have a wide variety of housing-related items available in-game. I'm pretty soured by crown crates at the moment, and really hoping that they do the crown store aspect of housing in a non-predatory way.

When reading all the conjectures on these forums about housing being crown store exclusive, having to buy houses with crowns only and so on, I was begining to worry but that's great news! ZOS might add some housing stuff in the CS eventually, who knows, but that'll be ok by me even if I'd like it to stay out of the store forever.

I wonder if it'll be a free update like One tamriel, I doubt it but I don't really care as I won't have to buy it if it's a DLC game pack as I am an ESO Plus member.

Are training dummies still work in progress? Are they going to be released as part of housing (a furniture piece or accessory in other way released to housing)?
After removal of Ninglenel unofficial training dummy https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/267575/save-ninglenel-dps-test players are left without any way to train and test their rotations (which is important with such very competitive and demanding content like veteran Maw of Lorkhaj) for several months already

Oh man, the amount of time I spent decorating Indarys Manor and Tel Uvirith in Morrowind (with mods, of course), especially considering not a single soul other than myself ever saw the places, is truly staggering.

I can imagine it's going to get a lot harder to find groups for a few weeks after housing comes out.

I actually prefer a small cottage, but yes I have like 100k at best. Wouldn't mind grinding gold for housing though! In fact I might go log and start now

I remember taking the house in Balmora as my first home in the Scrolls Universe, waaaay back in the Morrowind days. If you could drop place-ables back them I'm really hoping that the instanced houses allow us to drop things like trophies mount our fish we've caught. All the theftable items in game could have a little 3D image that we could plop down somewhere, oh and chests for holding stuff... Cause treasure duh!

My Wife and I have characters who are married in-game.

I would hope for two things:

1) The houses have storage capabilities.
2) That for married characters, they could share the houses and use them equally regardless of whose account the house was purchased under.

Those are my only two concerns about the houses. Other than that, my wife and I are very stoked for early next year!

They have confirmed that you can place items in your house but I'd be careful getting your hopes up for all the stolen items, that would be a hell of a lot of work to create a model for all those items that don't have one at the moment. Though maybe they could create models for the epic items at least.

While I'm very happy to have gold options for housing, it is one thing that is important enough to me that I'm also ready to drop some crowns on it. I'd like to have a place that is "mine" in the word. I won't have to just log out under the bank stairs at Rawl'kha every night.

I've always had a strong draw to "home", and that is missing in game. I want to go "home" each night. I'm really glad it's coming - thank you ZOS!
