FFS, I'm an older retired lady with actually what I would normally consider to be quite poor navigational skills - but compared to this OP, I'm a freaking genius when it comes to maps.

    It really isn't that difficult.

There's no point in this. Several people have tried to help out and this guy hasn't thanked them for the information. Seems to believe that the game is different for him than it is for everyone else? Weird. ZOS pls lock this troll thread. :)

LEarn what the defintion of help means before spouting off your arrogant crap!

What you just did with your definition of help is exactly what everyone has done in this thread..They know things that was never explained to me and they have information I do not have they then say They tired helping me without breaking down any of the information, where they got it, por what anything means
So you really got a lot of balls dictating people tired to help me

The only thing people did was tell me what i should know what they know without giving me any explanation

So far not one of you has actually given me any usuable information and or help

THE MAPS CANNOT BE NAVIGATED THROUGH so saying you can navigate them is useless how the hell does that help me

and i was actually being nice to you, and then i see this..... NOT HAPPY!

Imperial city is a circle the sewer maps are straight left to right with nothing denoting north south east or west this means there is absolutely no possible way to know what end of the sewer you are on or if the top down view top of the map is actually west..

I think OP needs to go back into their setting and turn tutorials back on, they have clearly turned them off... i actually left tutorial on when i made an alt a few weeks ago and the amount of info they give you is staggering! i remember when console launched there was a lot of info, but i think it has been added too since then!
That is an outright lie they barely give you any information, and they hide information that a player needs to know.

Fact is there isn't even any clear instructions about how to get into Cyrodiil, Then there is no instructions about anything in Cyrodiil, as I said above I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me how they even knew that the Cyrodiil even had a tutorial to begin with. There are no messages, no automatic journal entries, in fact the game does not give you any indication about anything.

one of the things i really enjoy about this game, and bethesda games generally, is the freedom to explore and find out how things work for myself. when i start one of these games i turn the tutorials off. if i get stuck i turn them back on again.

Bro, the map in IC works. Sure there's no explicit road that leads you from A to B, but that's the fun in it - you actually have to use your brains for once in this game. There's multiple entries to the base so you can use tactical approaches if you're outnumbered and there's large groups blocking one side.
I hope to god they never make it easier to navigate.

I never said they didn't work (Learn to read)

I said they cannot be navigated through in their current condition because there is no way to tell what exit is going to go to which map and where on the map it will wind up.

If I remember correctly if you highlight the icons on the map it will tell you (ie: "Ladder to the elven gardens district"). If you look at the districts in the map and highlight the middle icons it will tell you which district it is, so you can see where you are and where you want to go pretty easily.
Heading back to base is a little harder for people new to IC, I'll admit that. But once you know what ladders lead to where you'll be fine. Someone in this post was actually kind enough to give you some directions.

To get to a faction base, I find these the quickest routes

DC: Elven Gardens ladder (head straight until you can go no further, then turn right)
AD: Temple ladder (take your first left, go straight through the small tunnel, then take your first right)
EP: Arena ladder (don't go down here much, just check your base where the base is once you drop down)

Once you use the ladders I mentioned above, just look at your map for the base and follow it. It should be easy enough once you're in that general area.

You do realize you chose a faction when you created your character? When you are on the character selection screen your character is standing next to a banner. Blue is what we call DC which stands for Daggerfall Covenant. Yellow is AD or Aldmeri Dominion. And Red is EP or Easy Prey.

Anyways now that we have that clear... Go to said character select screen and delete it. Go play candy crush or something...

Pay attention to the part of your sentence that I have made Bold text.

It says "Now". Meaning at the present time or moment.

No need for more name calling that didn't work out well for you last time.

He said "Now". And I was taught that "now" pertains to something you are doing at the present moment.

Hence why I responded to him the way I did.

Plus I had done dealt with this person on the other threads they created. Which Zos closed due to their name calling of all most every person who responded to it.

They just want some one they can call names, belittle and argue with. They won't listen to anyones reasoning.

Had no trouble reading the map, exploring the sewers and districts and soloing the main quests and the repeatable ones a few times. I really don't understand why the OP is so pissed off. IMO IC is one of the best DLCs, if not the best. Firstly, because it's the only one that includes PvP. Not to mention a huge underground, relatively large area and 2 challenging dungeons. Compared to other DLCs which are just 2 dungeons, or just a small and boring area where you can do repeatable quests and that only cost slightly less IC is still really good.

And the first time I was in IC I went down the wrong ladder into the sewers and found myself in the AD sewers rather than the EP ones - and walked back to my own base. I hid when I saw enemy players coming. I fought mobs on my way. If enemy players had spotted me and I'd got killed, I wouldn't have cried about it. I most certainly wouldn't have suggested that ZOS give me a port back to my base so I didn't have to face combat - I still can't get over how pathetic that sounds...

I wasn't even aware that you could shut off notifications and this game doesn't have any tutorials.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain where the tutorial is for Cyrodiil that people claim exists but I never saw..

According to people the tutorial is a scripted event that automatically gets triggered upon entering Cyrodiil in the same way you trigger the notice about locations when you find them, the game updated their journal automatically and gave them a message across their screen showing them that there is a tutorial and where it is and how to access it.

I never got a tutorial upon entering Cyrodiil

Your lying again as I was one of the people who told you how to access pvp tutorial and clearly stated you needed to accept the quest from the npc with a black marker above his head that is in the area you spawn when entering cyrodiil for first time.

However I think on the evidence of your last few posts and assuming your not trolling (doubtful) we can safely assume that this game is far beyond your comprehension level and will ultimately lead to nothing but frustration, anger and despair from yourself. Bearing this in mind please remember you are not compelled to play eso and our price fixing no tutorial overly complex and badly designed world will keep spinning without you so maybe you should go play something more to your skill lvl. I hear snap is getting competitive nowdays...

    Basically it's like this:
    - each of the 3 factions has a home stretch of the sewers that contains 2 exits in separate districts topside for a total of 6
    - there are continuation stretches that join in the center at the hub where Molag Bal spawns, those don't have exits above and have to be navigated from one of the 6 entrances in the adjoining sections.
    - if you are killed in the sewers you can just respawn there is you were killed by monsters, but you can only respawn at your base if you were killed by a player; or you can get resurrected by another player. (same as Cyrodiil)
    - if you are killed topside by a player you can only respawn in the same district if your faction controls the flag; if your faction doesn't control the flag, you can respawn in the closest controlled district and if none is controlled, only at faction base.
    - each time you get killed you lose 50% of your tel vars; if you die to monsters they are lost into the void, if you are killed by players they share the 50%
    - if you don't like PvP pick an empty campaign, there are a couple of those on each megaserver
