I thought when you died you just hit the release button and BAM, back to base... at least thats its been for me this whole time...

Not since they changed the Districts to have claimable flags. If your faction has claimed a district when you die and release you end up at the closest claimed district. If your faction has no claimed districts, THEN you release to your sewer base. In either case, the next adventure is just a ladder away. If you release to a claimed district climb down the ladder you arrive at and go back to the district you wanted to do. The ladder you arrive at takes you into your base.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Guess its never really bothered me because its not hard to remember where I was on a circle, so I just wander back at my leisure :)

Look here is a big tip for you. There is a massive help encyclopaedia that comes with the game, on PC KB+M the default key to open it is F1. I do not know what the default button is on gamepads, but there will be one.

The help section is huge, and will answer a lot of your questions. Find somewhere quiet, like in a bank or something, and please for the love of all that is good, have a read through it before raging about stuff on the forums.

AD: lower base (south), the lower and lower right district are the closest to your base if you're up. Temprl district gets you closest

EP: the right base (east), the upper right and upper one take you there. Arena district gets you closest.

DC: left base (west), the upper and lower left take you closest to that base. Memorial district gets you closest.

NO clue what any of that means.

Well I also cheated and use the ability you have to put place markers on the map and I put Color coded Sewer grates on each sewer entrance so I could remember which sewer lead to which faction's area. I'm old I needed the extra reminders. :p

If you die in the sewers, you always spawn in your home base.

That is absolutely 100% false. I died 2 times and was never put back in my home base. And

I still have no idea where my home base is, or how to get there.

If you didn't go to your base when you respawned then you were not in the sewers when you died. It sounds like you were in IC, above the sewers. When you die there you will go to the nearest district that your faction owns. Right next to where you spawn in any district there will be a little trap door that takes you back down to your home base.

And there is a tutorial on mob levels, it would have popped up the first time you were scaled. Either happened in Cyrodiil when you entered, or had happened in one of the DLC zones(Wrothgar, The Gold Coast, or Hew's Bane.)

Everyone giving you a hard time, is based on how you come off. You come off like a spoiled brat who needs a spanking. You mentioned in your other thread that you "have had this game for over a week now" that was 4 days ago. If you take some time the game will get easier.

I would personally suggest getting to know the sewers with a guild. There are plenty of guilds that accept newer players, and will take groups through the sewers. IC can be pretty damn confusing at first and a wise man once told me "IT'S DANGEROUS TO GO ALONE!"

do black boxes filled with text appear on your screen randomly?
if they do. read the text, if they dont you have disabled tutorials, so you know how to access them. (under setting probablly, servers are down so i cant check)
so turn them back on, you can even reset them so any you have missed/skipped will be shown again.
a lot of the things you are getting frustrated by are explained here.

regarding the pvp tutorial, when you see an npc with a black arrow above their head that means they are a quest giver, talk to them, listen to what they say or read the transcript. go to your journal and read the quests they provide additional information.

and while this forum is a resource for players, try to remember that we do not all exist to guide you through the game. and asking questions is going to get you a lot further than making demands

and an extra bit of advice, when this game 1st lauched i was a newb to mmo's my Xbox1 had arrived the day before so i wasnt used to my controller, and i struggled, i had no idea what i was doing, or how i was doing it. i found another player who had no idea what he was doing or how he was doing it & we stuck together & learned the basics of the game together. please find a friend in game it will make everything so much easier for you

(and yes everyone else i know this is probally a troll thread - yes i have seen all the other threads - but just incase this is a genuinley confused & frustrated new player im trying to be nice)

Dude... Walk into the dungeon on the north side of the map. Walk out. Boom. Never enter Cyrodiil again.

If you want info to a year old dlc, check the year old patch notes. Then again you can't use a map or for that matter leave through the ladder exit when you spawn from a death. You probably had that tutorial but you probably just button smash through dialog.

This saddens me. Darwin had a theory...

Bro, the map in IC works. Sure there's no explicit road that leads you from A to B, but that's the fun in it - you actually have to use your brains for once in this game. There's multiple entries to the base so you can use tactical approaches if you're outnumbered and there's large groups blocking one side.

I said they cannot be navigated through in their current condition because there is no way to tell what exit is going to go to which map and where on the map it will wind up.
