Molag Bal was pretty easy; he went down on my first try. Now what should I do?

- I don't really want to do the other factions with this toon
- I do like to grind, so grind up my CP"s? Where?
- not ready to try PvP, so just queue for dungeons? I'm CP30

Well I absolutely hate grinding, so I can't help you with any suggestions there, but queuing up for dungeons is a good idea. If you queue for a random normal dungeon, you get a ton of XP for the first one you do each day (about 100K), and a lower but still considerable amount (about 33K) for each random you do after the first one in a day. If you pick up the pledge first you might get lucky and randomly end up in the pledge dungeon so you can double dip on the XP and rewards.

yep, but the other faction areas are scaled up. Loads of grinding, you don't have to do quests.

You basically just scratched the surface of the game by beating the main story... tons of stuff you can do

    1. Dungeons... there are plenty of them and you can pick up the daily pledges from the undaunted area for extra xp and a key to open the chests
    2. Craglorn ... this will be soloable in about a month or you can try to find people to group with in here
    3. silver and gold quests (do the other factions quests) it's actually kind of fun on the first time through. tons of things to see and do.
    4. Grind... if you don't mind the grind... go to wrothgar (i recommend playing the quests here too) and find the public dungeons. right now those are the fastest/easiest places to gain levels or CP.
    5. Skyshard and/or mage book hunting... gain skill points and level mages guild line
    6. Find a guild or two or three... having regular people to run group content with is the best way to get into end game material

also at CP 30 you'll probably get kicked from a lot of dungeon groups as they all want 400+

I don't bother unless its with friends.

Whilst not mandatory there are a lot of skillpoints in those areas........

Might be worth doing a skyshard collection and the quests and Public Dungeons that award those points :)

That's why I suggested queuing for a random normal rather than a random vet. Non-vet dungeons are really easy for anyone who does dungeons regularly so people are much less likely to kick people with fewer CP or who are below level 50. Anyone who kicks a lower level from a non-vet dungeon just for being below CP cap is definitely a terrible player who needs people to carry him through content.

Part of my enjoys reading the answers systematically contradicting the OP assertions.

"I don't want my toon to do the other alliance zones" -> "Do Cadwell silver and gold"

The game is a bit tricky with the progression. The core game through Coldharbour levels up to 50.
The natural progression of difficulties goes through at least Cadwell Silver. Cadwell Gold and seemingly all the DLC is oriented around CP level 160. It is possible to go straight to the DLC and your character will be battle scaled to play in that area (or at least CP 150). You may still find the zones tricky to play if you are under level.

Craglorn can be deceptive as the enemies may show up as CP 110 or 130 but they generally hunt in packs designed to be fought by groups of (usually 4) players. It is not easy to solo with a character that has just hit champion rank.

The game doesn't provide a straightforward alternative at CP 10 to Cadwell Silver. The group dungeons at least scale the the level of the group leader. I am not aware of anything else in the game aimed at players between CP 10 and CP 160. Still you might find the DLC fine playing in battle scaled mode. It is hard to say how you personally will find it.

Remember that if you've already got a group of 4 people to run dungeons with, you can still queue for a random dungeon as an already-formed group and get the massive XP reward and the mail with the loot for doing a random.

It's not Mandatory, but if you want something to lead you through so you aren't just kill grinding it's the best way. I mean you are going to want to get the skyshards in all those zones anyway. So I would do at least the main quest line through each zone and the delves for acheives and get the skyhshards.

Molag Bal defeated. Now you must do:
    1. IC quest line to banish Bal's army from Imperiakl City.
    2. veteran Cradle of Shadows to defeat Mephala's champion - Velidreth.
    3. then veteran Aetherian Archive - Hel Ra Citadel - Sanctum Ophidia to free Mage, Warrior, defeat and banish Serpent.
    4. then harder achievement - do veteran Maw of Lorkhaj and defeat Namira's champion - Rakkhat and stop dro-m'athra incursion.

Pretty much cadwell is what you want to go for, along with dungeons (regulars and the easier vets). Cadwell quests are very good not only for XP but also for skill points - you get tons of them. Also keep in mind you dont have to do all quests in factions, just the main quests in each zone; you can view which they are in cadwells journal, or use a guide online like I did.

If you want to farm then Rkindaleft in NE Wrothgar or Old orsinium in west-central Wrothgar. But grinding gets old fast keep in mind.

If you really cant be bummed to keep questing on that toon then perhaps think about making a new toon, some character you know you will play - like a healer or a tank role character. Grind those to 50 within 2 days max and go do the cadwell quests on that toon. Your CP progress will carry over anyway - although the skill points wont, so theres that ofcourse. But thats what I did personally and it was very nice questing on a fresh character.

When you reach higher CP keep in mind things like normal maelstrom arena and dragonstar arena

You certainly dont have to do the other zones, but that really is the next step. You are going to want skyshards and probably lore books from them anyways. If you are looking for more solo PVE content, this is the answer. Until you get a little more CP under your belt, the unfortunate truth is you might struggle to find groups wanting to run group content with you. Once you hit CP160, you at least can have max gear. Not saying its right, but its true. Joining a guild will help.

The reality is that you have hit the point that cause a lot of people to quit. You finished the main story, which for some is enough. They storylines in the other factions are different, so that is the logical place to continue. Your options are as follows:

    1. Start PVPing.
    2. Grind baby grind.
    3. Do the other faction quests.
    4. Join an RP guild and get your ERP on.
    5. Dive headfirst into group content, knowing you might get pushback in random groups.
    6. Move on to another game.

Edit: If it were me, I would take a crack at the next zone. Maybe not do every side quest, but try to do the main story and clear the area of skyshards, dolmens, world bosses, etc. While doing that, que up for some NORMAL group dungeons and see how it goes. If/when you find a good group, see if they are in a guild. You will be at 160 CP before you know it, then invest in some good gear. DO NOT spend one gold piece on gear until you are 160. Save your mats, gold and undaunted keys until then.

How do you grind a character to level 50 in 2 days never mind grinding 2 to lvl 50 in the same time frame? I'm currently off work due to a bad back and even though I've put a lot of hours in, it took me ages to get to level 50. Took me no time at all to get +80 CP due to the catch up system, but lvl 50 is more or less having to run through the same old ***.

Hmm..... well there's a lot to do.

The first thing I would do is edit your title!

"Just finished the Main Quest, now what? *SPOILERS*"

If I was a new player, and entered these Forums, your thread title would be the first thing I read and it'd make me sad knowing how the main quest obviously ends.

    Please fix that.
