Kidding, it's okay. It happens, not everybody likes the same characters.

I bet a lot of people don't even remember Talviah, your Altmer buddy in Orsinium. I absolutely love him, he is a sweet cinnamon roll too good for this world, too pure. And still, lots of people killed him.

I remember him. I liked him because he wasn't so sterotypically Altmer. Kind and wanting to prove himself rather than arrogant and entitled

Way back in 2014 when I was just a noob and vamp pyromage DKs ruled the world, one of my very favorite things in ESO was Pacrooti. This friendly Khajiit would send me mail every day chronicling his exploits in Tamriel. His wit and clever dialogue were a delight, the first thing I would do after logging in each day would be to scour my mail for the latest tale of misadventure from my favorite feline friend.

Apparently the woodworking trade in Tamriel has not been a growth industry, because dark times have fallen upon our erstwhile lumberjack. Instead of scouring the forests of Nirn for the choicest woodworking materials he now lurks in the dark alleys and dank sewers of our cities peddling the Tamrielic version of meth. "Just one more" he pleads with us, speaking to the vapid and hollow impulses we all share. He's become ESO's Walter White except without the misplaced sense of honor or the obstinately noble goals. He's become nothing more than a dirty street-corner pusher seeking to separate fools from their money while feeding us drivel about our "perseverance."

The gambling boxes are terrible ZOS, many of your customers seem to agree on that. We know we can't stop this pending dumpster fire, but PLEASE LEAVE PACROOTI OUT OF THIS! Do not take one of the most universally loved characters in your game and turn him into this reprehensible scam artist. Keep the NPC, the model, most of the voice overs, whatever. Just take the name "Pacrooti" off everything associated with the Crown Crates and put him in the game somewhere that's actually fun. PLEASE.

    #SavePacrooti

Seriously. I was shocked, dismayed, and even more ticked off at these crown crates than I already was when I found out they chose to make PACROOTI represent them!

These are characteristics that many Altmer who are apprentices in the game share, and it is why I like Telenger's quests. His apprentices are generally nice. It was actually refreshing to see so many nice Altmer in this game. They have a different persistent stereotype in this game, though, the "crazy wizard" one. But I like that one better than the "arrogant and entitled" one.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

This works within reason. Although I'd much rather they introduced a new character for it, it doesn't fit the Pacrooti we know at all.

I never liked Pacrooti either. He was shifty and I didn't trust him, I'm not shocked he ended up as a swindler (though as someone mentioned earlier, I wouldn't expect him to willingly work for an organized group of crooks).

That said, it is still disgusting that ZOS used a beloved character and put so much effort in fancy animations to entice us to buy more scam boxes. Understandable, but disgusting.

But since we already have card assets, can we get a card game in the future maybe? For free, for fun and socializing?

I'm pretty disgusted they they took Pacrooti who was a victim of gambling himself and twisted him into somehow who constantly tells me how I should keep trying (spending my money), or reminded my how easy it is to buy more when I run out, or maybe I'll have better luck next time.

    Seriously, pick someone else.

He seems to like gambling tho
Here is your new shipment. Pacrooti is back in the city and has spent many hours combing the tangles out of his fur. Later, he played dice with a young Breton and won an entire set of armor. He thinks he will sell it, as it would be too expensive to have a tail hole added.

Yes, pleaseZOS you should have left Pacrooti out of this nasty Crate shenenegans! Pacrooti, the reason I was so happy that I happened to choose my khajiit to be my woodworker, before I knew anything about him.
    Greetings from my khajiit, Skibassa;

This one can understand her friend might enjoy a game of chance now and then, yes.
But this one may never believe her friend would try to rip her off her hard sneaked crowns in a gamble so obviously staged to cheat her, and so eagerly milk her for more with luring words: this one is quite sure that it is not Pacrooti at all all but Sheogorath posing as him.
This one had a dream where in the future the so called "uncle" Sheo would evilly rain burning dogs on an innocent khajiit village. And cause their prize cheese to be stolen, yes! This one lies not.
This one advices caution around any Pacrooti sitting atop one of those evil crates.

If you want to associate this with a Daedric Prince (which sounds like a good idea to me), you probably don't want Hermaeus Mora. This probably best fits into the sphere of Clavicus Vile.

Although he does appear as an eyeballs and tentacles thing, I wish Elder Scrolls in general was better at showing that the deadric princes are not bound to any form or gender. Hermaeus sometimes appears as the Wreched Abyss instead for instance.

    Anyone remember this one?
This one has found an additional source of income! He buys Potions of Stamina at discount prices from the Baandari traders and sells them in the city to old men with young, energetic wives. They say these potions are like a cross-town wagon in Windhelm. A one-hour wait for a two-minute ride.
