Calling all PvP Magicka DKs - Document to the DEVs

    U don't see chains much bc hardly anyone runs a mDK in PVP.

    Idk what your talking about. 1.6 suckd for mDKs. Pre 1.5 was the days of being a God on a mDK.

    Anyone calling for a nerf on this magic build type for DKs needs to step back quickly. Because I have played this class since beta on PC and when I see probably one of the only skills "burning embers" in the mDK arsenal being called out as OP or nerf it I start to get an aneurism when people walk up in here and post *** like that.

    Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

    I would love to have a ability like a flame charge. You get a fire aura and you just like head smash into them stunning them. Would be so cool haha

    i thought of another change take away the group buff for molten armaments and make it change stam weapons to magick so they deal fire damage instead of physical and the light and heavy attacks restore magicka instead of stam
    so it basically turns them into a magic weapon

    Wow, I just read the entire document. Part of me REALLY wished that these were actual patch notes LOL! Too bad ZOS will never take these ideas into consideration. ( Based off of what they have responded to so far in previous patches )

    Chains don't need to be changed, they just need to be fixed. Unrelenting grip is fine as is (if it fired more reliably). Empowering chains just need an alternate effect. You lose the empower if it's dodged and the chain hits the ground where the intended target was. Give this ability the alternate effect of an AOE stagger that pulls you to that spot.

    Just noticed on PTS Ardent Flame Skills re-arranged. (Chains and Flame Lash) so noob DK's get Flame Lash right off the bat basically and chains pushed out to level 30.

    I there something else fundamental that I'm missing? I didn't see any other changes to the other trees but did not check all morphs etc...

    If you are making contributions, please try to think about pve mDK DPS being top tier already and stam DK already being top tier in pvp. Make sure your buffs only effect pvp mDK!!

    Im not saying that all these buffs should be implemented but rather giving as many suggestions as possible. Explain why you think a change should happen aswell so they have a reason to implement it

    Just remove this as an ulitimate and take one of the skills that are never used as DKs, i would like this as a gap closer more than an ulitmate

    This thread has +6,900 views... that has to say something about the state of where magical dks are and changes that need made. Honestly, if they fixed dragon blood to be a % of maximum health heal or to be a heal over time, then it would be all good. There are several other skills that need reworked but for real a class heal would be excellent. ..

    The class would be so much better off with a decent heal. I like how it has 6900+ views and no comment from the devs or any buffs. Instead we get changes like soul assault.

    I play a mdk with the way burning embers heals if they did improve dragon blood back to %heal off missing health wouldn't this make us a little to op in self heals?
    I want GDB back too don't get me wrong but think about this apply embers at start of fight then when u get low pop GDB then embers and ur all the way back to full?
    Maybe make GDB a heal over time that's base off ur magic pool so Stam dk won't use it with vigor?
    I want mdk to b balance and feel strong but I also don't want it to be op.

    You nailed it. This was deliberately nerfed and BE given a end of spell Heal which you could cut short. This must be the same person that does balance for Sorc damage abilities. All delayed, or awaiting a proc chance...

    Seems all goodness was given to Stamina. I'm sure Magicka specs would trade the heal on BE for a Magicka based Vigor in a hot second. Most would likely break down and cry in happiness.

    The only problem with embers is that it's unreliable. You have to let it tick in order to get a nice heal out of it. Sometimes it doesn't need to tick long to get a nice heal, but in the middle of combat you can't really rely on it. That is why we want dragon blood to not be affected by battle spirit. We want our instant burst heal back. Spamming embers won't save you when you're getting beat on.

    ^^ Waiting on Burning Embers is frustrating at times indeed and can be hit or miss leading to death if the gods are not in your favor.

    Plain and simple two Gimmick heal abilities instead of a straight reliable heal sucks. Both Flame Lash and Burning Embers.

    Meanwhile Stam toons hit one button and launch a great Vigor AOE. Doubly so if Rally is slotted.

    right but we can't have both its just too much that's why I agree with some other ppl about GDB being a HoT instead of a burst heal at low health.
    Balance is important when looking at these skills and how they work together.

    We need to compete with Stam at an even lvl not out do them. Stam healing needs a hard look at too it's way to much.

    Fixes i would like
    1. Dragon blood a HoT
    2. Lower cost on dk ability they r to high
    3. Major evasion on cinder storm(we need to stand our ground if we can't escape)
    4. Buff whips damage slightly
    5. Lower our Banner ult to 200

    The cost and damage of the abilitys are fine. They could change moltern armament to something like rally for a hot or so or just buff GDB to 40-50% of missing live. But then they need to rechange burning embers and draw essence because all of it will op. I thing chaines as a real gabcloser will never work correcly and its also a little slow (chaines go to an enemy and then you are pulled to them).

    Any light at the end of the Tunnel with 1 Tamriel sets other than the "Scorpion" Swarm Mother set mechanic? I mean we already have that...I wonder if will be broken like chains as well in PVP and not fire half the time.

    It is so simple to fix mDK. We need 4 changes which can be done exactly for 1 day.
    1) chains when dodged teleports you to the target without damaging it
    2) Helping Hands WHILE USING EARTHEN HEART ABILITIES Activating an Earthen Heart ability restores 5% Stamina based on (your highest resource pool).
    3) Battle Roar WHEN ACTIVATING AN ULTIMATE ABILITY Activating an Ultimate restores Health, Magicka, and Stamina in amounts increased by 70% of the Ultimate's cost (based on your highest resource pool)
    4) Dragon blood excluded from battle spirit.

    These changes will bring back mDK from the ash. Especially 2,3 and 4.

    I don't understand what you are saying on #2, #3 is how battle roar used to work and how it should still work.

    Edit: Are you saying restore stamina by 5% of your highest resource? I think that would be a bit over the top.
