Currently I'm sitting on 2.7 million ap. Let's suppose they sell the gold mats at 100k ap which means I can get 27 of which ever gold mat. But not everyone will keep them they'll also sell them like when the alkavri motif was introduced I was always selling those. Karivaa✭✭✭✭✭It's because a few people control the economy and also because people are buying gold. When I played WOW, blizzard tracked people who bought gold. Not so in ESO so the economy has been destroyed.0

AntMan100673✭✭✭With the change from vet ranks to CP's demand went up as there were more max level characters plus it's a lot quicker to get a new character to max level.
With the nerf to the drop rates supply went down.
With the problems in Wrothgar a lot of people stopped doing writs so supply went down.
With the change to top level writs required all top level materials a lot of people stopped doing writs so supply went down.
With the latest update there were new sets that people wanted to upgrade so demand went up.
Some people took a risk on buying up tempers to flip them for profit assuming there would still be plenty of demand at a higher price, they were right.
More people are now farming mats and doing writs so supply is starting to go up and as people finish upgrading their new gear demand is going down and the prices are also going down again.
If you're thinking of upgrading gear after 1 Tameriel hits I'd suggest buying your tempers early as it's probably going to happen againEU - EP - Dunmer - Dragonknight - Magicka DPS - CP160

TV is a pain, depending on time of day. Normal workday hours for xb na has the reds largely offline, but that's work hours. Come evening, they come farm the AD area. Really?!?? Cannot figure out why they farm the yellow zombies and clannfears. The monster tooth and claw farming is better upstairs in the district, and the dark ether bone shard farming is better in the blue's lambent passage, yet over and over the reds wander over to hzu.Xbox NA0 -

EZgoin76✭✭✭✭I'm sure there is some market manipulation going on. Not exactly sure how or who's doing it, idc I farm all my own stuff anyways. After selling a few gold mats to a couple of forum goers. I decided to raise my asking price and goto a populated area last night to get rid of them. At 15K a piece, I sold all I was going to in about 5 minutes. Making 400K in the process.
I'm sure one or two of the people who bought from me immediately put them up for sale to make a profit. This is business, it's how it works. Like a few others have posted, as long as people are paying these prices, they'll stay the same.
The only solution to this is to farm your own. Which ZOS has made such a pain in the arse by nerfing the drop rates of gold mats. Out of 1K raw mats a piece, I got - 4 Temp Alloys, 7 Rosin, 9 Dreugh Wax. Imo that's absolutely absurd. I know it's rng and maybe just wasn't my day but I'm not the only one with similar results.I want to change the world. I'm just to lazy to do it.0 -

The problem is the game throws out too much gold, which devalues it, and forces the prices of things to go up. It's called hyperinflation, and it's virtually impossible to avoid in a situation like this.
Ironically, it has nothing to do with greed.
Let's assume you have 10 iron ore and you want to sell it. What do you think is a fair price for these ores? You realize you don't want to come off greedy, so you sell them at 2 gold each, for a grand total of 20 gold.
Now, as you're walking your way to the bank to deposit your wonderful coin, a pair of bandits attack you. Quickly, you slay them and loot their corpses, netting you 67 gold.
See that? That's why this game's currency system is broken. Between two bandits, they have more money combined than you did after selling 20 ores.
The prices you see in the store take into consideration the gold's availability. The higher the level, the more gold you're expected to have, which is why things start to hit the 10k+ range on higher leveled mats.
"Undercutting" can't be done, no matter how many try to do it because, again, there's simply too much gold in the game. Those who can buy out complete inventories can do so because of this massive amount of gold, and keep the prices stable.
You can easily sell stuff at a loss if you'd like, and no one's going to care, but you're up against both players and guilds with millions of gold at their disposal.
The *only* way to fix this issue will have to come from ZoS, who will need to actually implement a true economic system into their game rather than an RNG gold distribution model which it currently has.
If you truly want to see how fast you can amass gold in this game, do this: every 5k gold, make a deposit. Watch how fast the tally goes up.
The prices you see in the guild store reflect this.

Robisok74✭✭✭I have no problem with obtaining matts, i do writs on 4 toons. What i do have a problem with however is the gold drops of late. As an instance, i refined over 500 rudebite and got only one gold alloy, not a very good return for the effort put in.2
