Almost sounds like it's the fault of "some" players...
Way to twist their words -_-........
Then they should be more careful how they word things.
Can anyone access the EU servers? Are there people who have managed to log in and are happily playing the game while "some players" cannot?
It's not an issue that some players are having, it's an issue with the EU server.
Unless you know for a fact that EVERYONE has the problem, it is what they say in the banner.. Some people might be able to log in.. Personally I got to the character screen earlier, instead of being stopped at the login
It is not an issue that I have, I haven't done anything wrong/differently.
It's an issue that they have.
Yes it probably is, but the banner speaks truth anyway.. Some players, you included, have trouble logging in.. No where has it been hinted, unless you really want it to be, that it's the players' fault
The implication of "some players" is that some players aren't having any problems.
I don't believe that, particularly as this is a problem across all platforms...
In any case, language, and the way you use it, is powerful. "Some players" having difficulties implies that these players are doing something wrong because other players don't have any problems.
Who has the issue? "Some players"? Or the server?
By saying that I have an issue with not being able to log in the problem is reflected onto me. That's not the case. The server has an issue with not being able to log me in.

Servers are in Frankfurt Germany ?. Guess I'm getting the Taxi route every time then.
My ping never goes below 70, usually around 80, and I live in Denmark.
Playing other online games on EU servers I rarely get more than ping 40

Yes there is though: When as a company you sell a service or product to a worldwide market, you have to provide support for any market that you make your product or service available in. It isn't really rocket science.....don't sell something to someone and then let them only access support during the middle of their night, it has to be at a convenient time for the consumer. That's just business 101

The impatience kids things is the typical strawman argument. At this point its laughable at what lengths white knights will go to try and justify how a game thats been out this long, is so riddled with unending breakdowns at the very core of it.

As much as I hate some of the entitlement displayed in this thread, and while I agree that a game is not a medical service or anything vital, I have to agree that a company that provides a service to the whole world MUST organize some customer support and maintenance services 24/7, and not rely on ONE time zone on earth, excluding the 2 thirds of the world.

you mean they actually have time to sleep? I thought half the people on here expect them to be running around like little forum maidens checking that everyone has everything they need.
Seriously, don't fret it, some people need to maybe see more daylight and get some fresh air
Um, you know when you provide a 24h service for people round the world, you have to have people working 24/7 right?
It's quite normal to have morning shifts, afternoon shifts and night shifts.
How do you think like everything in the world works? ^^

Yes he is, and until a couple of weeks ago there were none, as Kai was previously based in Maryland with the rest of ZOS. Actually, there are some players left on the server - only a fraction of the usual population but still.
But no matter how many (or few) players are having issues to connect to the European megaservers, nobody is blaming them.

Don't take it as an insultIt's just the first phrase that comes to mind when I see how people react.. I can understand the frustration well enough, and I am a paying customer myself that have poured way too much cash into the game hehe.. But at the same time I can take a step back and see that not everything can be handled immediatly.. In this case the server had a malfunction while people were asleep.. The alarm raised the technicians that started working asap.. Later, a forum poster was made aware of the notice and he then proceeded to make a post for us.. That works for me, since I don't, and never will, expect that they pull someone out of bed just to give us that information

I would not see myself as a white knight in any wayI have my list of stuff that I don't like, just as everyone else.. I just don't see a need to express negativity on a forum.. There's enough of that to last for a lifetime already
Instead I like to try and spread some calm and understanding instead, since that seems to be what we are in short supply of

I think that's because they have been online since the login server was still operational.
When I used to run a game server, this happened from time to time, all I needed to do was restart the login server, but then again I didn't care about the root of the problem, so no investigation needed ^-^
