    For all of you who want answer like why are the servers down and give us an ETA. They can't. As long as you are investigating the problem you don't know what's wrong. Let alone you can tell how long it's going to take. I'd rather have the techs focussing 100% on bringing the servers back online than inform me every 5 minutes.

    That doesn't mean that just a little insight in what went wrong wouldn't be appreciated AFTER everything has been solved.

    And what you post is a fact and no speculation?

    There are plenty of games and/or services that are able to inform customers within minutes after the problem occurs,
    so i assume you speculate as much as everybody else.

    Eh yes, what I state is my own experience and how we handled things. As I don't know how ZOS or other companies have organized their calamity response, I won't go there.

    No, it doesn't imply that it is their fault. However, that kinda "worries" me too... if the servers are down for everyone, we're all pretty much on equal foot. But if "some" players are able to log in and play, it has impact on several things (Cyrodiil campaigns, traders' bid, etc.)

    I apreciate ur updates,mostly its the first source we get information from,
    but they should either get some more staff (forum) so they can work in shifts,
    that there always is at least one forum employee online.

    Or what even would be better,
    get another group of forum employees and techs in the exact opposite timezone of Murika,
    the game should be online 24/7 so there also should be employees available 24/7,
    because people need sleep (employees) but on the other hand there are players all over the world that want to play.

    Well from my own experience in being a gamer in a game that has a problem,
    the vast majority of the games did inform the gamers within minutes after a problem occured,
    so for me what you say is still as much a speculation.

    It's not an issue that some players are having, it's an issue with the EU server.

    Unless you know for a fact that EVERYONE has the problem, it is what they say in the banner.. Some people might be able to log in.. Personally I got to the character screen earlier, instead of being stopped at the login

    Yes it probably is, but the banner speaks truth anyway.. Some players, you included, have trouble logging in.. No where has it been hinted, unless you really want it to be, that it's the players' fault

    they have 24/7 support
    but ESO dont even have GMs in game and CS call support lol
    its completely unacceptable for AAA MMO

    Yes there is though: When as a company you sell a service or product to a worldwide market, you have to provide support for any market that you make your product or service available in. It isn't really rocket science.....don't sell something to someone and then let them only access support during the middle of their night, it has to be at a convenient time for the consumer. That's just business 101 ;)

    they have 24/7 support
    but ESO dont even have GMs in game and CS call support lol
    its completely unacceptable for AAA MMO

    They have a HUGE cash pool compared to ESO, and have then chosen to give you the luxury of 24H support.. It is not NEEDED for that reason.. I expect institutions like the police and fire department to have a round the clock staff.. That ZOS have a system that alerts the technicians when a failure happens, is totally acceptable

    No, it needs that, people are paying money to play, it's the same as with any other software.

    Not only does not having a 24/7 personnel obstruct customers from playing, but it also creates bad reputation for the company and a direct result is loss of customers.

    The implication of "some players" is that some players aren't having any problems.

    I don't believe that, particularly as this is a problem across all platforms...

    In any case, language, and the way you use it, is powerful. "Some players" having difficulties implies that these players are doing something wrong because other players don't have any problems.

    Who has the issue? "Some players"? Or the server?

    By saying that I have an issue with not being able to log in the problem is reflected onto me. That's not the case. The server has an issue with not being able to log me in.

    If the game is active 24/7 ( like it should) then Ofc there is the NEED for it,
    there should be in-game support active 24/7 ,forum employees active 24/7 and there should be several tech teams in several time zones available because when stuff happens stuff dont check the time if its a convenient time to do "stuff".

    Because its not a ftp game.
