Can khajiit racial crit bonus please apply to spells as well?

    First of all, have we really been reduced to arguing about how lore abiding the racial change would be?

    I’m a day one Khajiit magicka-build sorcerer, the Khajiit character that I made in beta was the same one I reproduced when the game launched because… I’m really a cat irl. I’ve been consistently playing the game since launch, have a wide breadth of PVE knowledge and now participate in competitive PVP. I’m in full support of either altering the Carnage passive to offer both increased Weapon and Spell Critical Damage OR to increase either Weapon Crit. or Spell Crit. depending on which value is greater for that character.

    As it has been stated previously in the thread, initially the Carnage passive was altered from increased Critical Damage across the board to increased Weapon Critical Damage because it was necessary for balance at the time but it’s been over 2 years since the game’s release and the game has progressed past that point. There are no competitive builds I know of that benefit from boosting both Spell Crit./Damage and Weapon Crit./Damage because it results in mediocre DPS from either Magicka or Stamina based skills. Boosting both Magicka and Stamina is an entirely different beast especially for Magicka builds because Stamina is necessary for Block, Sprint, CC break, Dodge roll, and Stamina based utility skills like Rapid Maneuvers and for Stamina builds there are desirable skills such as NB Cloak that require the other resource pool. Altering the Carnage passive to boost both Weapon and Spell Crit. Damage therefore, would not result in an unbalanced DPS situation.

    Additionally, there is precedent for a change like this. When the Molag Kena set was released, the 1 item set bonus only increased Weapon Damage only and later due to player feedback, ZOS altered the Molag Kena set to have two 1 item set bonus’ inclusive of both Weapon and Spell Damage. This alteration to the set was made because boosting the two stats simultaneously on a character does not in any foreseeable way confer an advantage. There’s no reason not to do something similar for the Khajiit racial passive.

    If we really need feel secure in the lore abiding nature of giving Khajiit a boost to Spell Critical then think about it this way; Khajiit are not innately more skilled in specifically combat or magic compared to the other races but instead because of their keen senses, are capable of increased perception of weakness’ in their foes when performing either magical or physical attacks. And for the record, the argument that increased Weapon Crit. is due to Khajiit’s sharp claws is just silly because… when was the last time you used your claws in combat? Unarmed combat is not a viable form of combat in ESO (though I wish it was) and as such claws have nothing to do with anything except general Khajiit coolness.

    Also there are plenty of Khajiit mages about. Sure there’s J'zargo, egocentric Khajiit mage chillin’ in the College of Winterhold, but what about like… Shazah, the scholarly sorcerer, Lunar Champion, and would-be Mane? That’s not even counting the innumerable Khajiit priests and monks or Khajiit mages guild members milling about Tamriel.

    Khajiits are already the best PvE Stamina race, you can't have good magic builds as well. Apart from rouge examples of Magic Khajiits in past game, none of which holding much significance as OP magic characters, it just wouldn't be Lore friendly to have Khajiits as a strong magic race (The more magic based Khajiit in lore are of an entirely different breed from the playable Khajiit race so stop using that poor excuse as any means of justification).

    So you're saying if khajiit crit passive also affected spell crit, they'd instantly be the best magicka dps race?

    How about don't add it to khajiit and give spell crit like 6% to bretons to help their dps vs altmers 8% all 3 elements

    how about add this 6-8% spell crit into race like bretan what have max magice, magica cost redustion etc...just buffs to magica while khajiit only bonus to stamina except weapon crit is juz 10% stam regen? while other players writing adding just 6% max stamina what was planned before is overpower for khajiit?
    this spell crit bonus into race passive will be more viable to race what dont have any bonuses to magica except this not hight mag regen, maybe argonians? they have only 3% to max magica what isnt so much or if it is to much for other just add it to hmm, health based race? because all magica based have 2 or 3 different bonuses to magica
