You guys might want to create a game called: Fantasy World RPers Delight Simulator! This is an MMORPG! Market Boards are a thing. If you want realism, you shouldn't be playing a fantasy game. ZoS will see the light, i.e. One Tamriel. This game will continue to go the way of the standard MMOs, because certain things work right, and Guild Stores aren't one of those "right" things. Sorry to break it you all.

I'm sorry to break it to you, but you seem like you're new around here. This has come up over and over again since launch. The devs like the current system, most of the players like the current system, it is deeply entrenched in the structure of how the game works. It's not going to be changed, end of story.

Go play WoW if that's what you want so badly.

Believe is saw a post that said it was 51/49 or 49/51 on this topic. that sure doesn't seem like the majority like it... weird how that works.

Here's the most recent poll, its 51% to 48% for keeping the guild traders. While it's a slim majority, it is none the less a majority. That's how this works, weird or not.

Throw in the fact that the devs like what we have now and boom, time to guild up.

Going to save this quote from you, then in a year, when we have a beautiful market Board to along with the beautiful ONE TAMRIEL(which peeps also didn't want, mind you), ill be laughing with delight.

You are not the first to have said as much to me and will almost certainly not be the last :) So far no one has popped back up in three years and really stuck it to me about that glorious central market that's just right around the corner so I'm not worried.

Also, people have been asking for something like One Tamriel forever.

Glad to know i'll be the first.

Far from the truth actually. We want a MARKET BOARD! NOT a AUCTION HIOUSE! There's a difference. Let's put an end to this notion that we want an Auction House.

Same thing by a different name. It's like calling a Home a Dwelling. Its still a place where someone lives.

If you really want to get specific, what you are calling a Market Board and others call an Auction House is just a Centralized Market.

Still, its only because people don't want to spend time searching for rare items, which makes them not rare anymore. Or, they want bargains, and they are not willing to search for them. I can shop at any Trading center in any decent sized town, that has 5 or more Kiosks, and find what I need. It may not be at the price I want, but that is on me to pay the prices there, or try to find a bargain. I don't expect to be able to find rare items without some effort, either by farming for them directly or by farming the kiosks.

Nah, let's be honest, people hate the centralized market idea because with that everybody would be able to sell their items without joining certain guilds, and of course those people don't want that because prices would go lower and lower.

People hate the central market idea because it is bland and boring and will be endlessly gamed by people like me, at least that's why I hate it.

Nope. People hate it because the control the current system. It is already gamed by people, in the meanwhile a lot of people can't sell their items because they need to join certain guilds to do that.

I don't hate the current system, those people feel like the virtual gold is important, that's ok, I only wish I could search the item i want without visiting a lot of cities, you find it fun, i find it boring.

People keep saying this kind of stuff: "the big guilds control the system," "it's gamed by rich players," "I can't sell anything without a stall in Rawl." The people who are actually in trading guilds and actually use the trading features in the game don't see any of this. My trading guild with a Mournhold trader is stereotyped from people outside the system as some dark syndicate of rich, malevolent market manipulators. In reality it's just a bunch of gamers selling stuff and buying raffle tickets with the occasional "LFG pledges" in guild chat.

Nice! I'm also a gamer with stuff i want to sell, and stuff i want to buy, but i can't sell because i'm not on any of those guilds (i shouldn't have to be in one to sell my stuff) and i can't buy because finding stuff is a pain.

    PS4 - NA - PS4 - EU

Those forums are full of trading guilds that want to recruit, jump in!

Thanks, but I don't want to have to join certain guilds to sell my stuff. But thanks :*

you don't have to be in a guild to sell stuff....

To be honest @Nestor and @wayfarerx the guy doesn't listen, been shown other threads similar so its a waste of time.

He thinks we are some crazed monopoly based evil tycoons that want to rake cash out of the population, reality is we're the ones offering workarounds to what AH/MB crew think is a problem but is not, with a system that has plenty to offer for those that take the time and arent lazy. In fact its a buyers market right now for deals and very easy to sell stuff as we all know, it by not listening they never will and will trawl the stalls :)

@Thetwano tried to help ya, but you are having none of it. Hopefully you will help me when I find an aspect of the game you 'get' that i feel standing in the way of my enjoyment that I cant be bothered to learn ;)

Honestly @Beardimus I just feel bad for the people that are absolutely sure that ZOS is, any day now, going to completely upend the guild trader economy and destroy some of the largest and most active guilds along with the single largest gold sink in the game. All they have to do is find a guild, any guild really like @Nestor said, and they would be selling stuff easy, but they won't do it. They won't even sell in zone chat.

I feel bad for them that they are missing out on a fun part of the game and all that gold they could be making, but I've done all I can!

You really need to learn how to do Hyperbole. Subtle is the way to be most effective with it.

Coldharbor is one of the most trafficked Guild Trader groups out there, they are only steps from the Kiosk, and there are 4 Kiosks. Most people who shop put it in their rotation. When one of my guilds had a Kiosk there, I did quite well and I was bummed I did not have more to list to sell there.

If you were an active part of the Guild Kiosk system, you would know this.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Man, I'm listening to your point. I hear you loud and clear. You feel trading gets in the way of your gaming, its effort and you want an easier solution. Simple. I hear ya. You want it like all the other games you have played.

Have you heard a single point I or any of the others have made today, no. You ignore most of them and then come back with banterfull retorts to illicit a bite.

The fact of the matter is, right now there is no AH / MB and we have been, all day, giving you solutions to workaround the problem you are too lazy to fix. And I hear you you say its not about you, so hoping other people also read our help and think, ooh I'm gunna join me a decent trading guild, etc these guys have some decent options for me.

See ya on the next AH thread

Actually it is very easy to sell stuff in the game, whether its in zone, or in trade guilds.

And Coldharbour as others have said, has a lot of players farming alchemy mats which sell good, and most people have the area on their to do list when buying stuff.

Sounds like a massive L2Trade issue.

    Well sell better stuff then:P

Sell raw mats, refined mats, high end alchemy ingredients, like Columbine, etc, money comes pouring in.

And join a decent trade guild, even at that, you dont have to be in a good or even passable trade guild to make gold, you just need to learn whats high value, where the customers go, etc, and the money will take care of itself.

Honestly, it is so easy to make millions in this game.

I feel bad for them that they are missing out on a fun part of the game and all that gold they could be making, but I've done all I can!

Yeppers! you'll be selling items like candy with a shop in cold harbor... oh wait.. peeps are never there... but wait.. that's the guild you were invited to.. and they only have a shop there.. so you're screwed.. but yes! it's sooo easy to sell items in this game!

    * sigh *

You know people farm alchemy mats in the Hollow City, right? You know where the Coldharbour traders are, right? Have you actually joined these guilds and tried to sell stuff? Because it seems like you're just going full keyboard warrior here, facts on the ground be damned.

Yep I sure have, and sold my items for pennies.. 30 days later, nada! Game over.

This is usually my experience as well. These players who act as if these guild traders work so well must be playing a different game than I am. That's all I can guess.

Sorry fella, I appreciate English isn't everyone's first language. I'll try to write less to keep it simpler.

Or you can try to articulate your point again I'm happy to listen, and try to help you further. I thought it was about central MB (AH) as you don't like the current effort required but perhaps it's not at all.

Naming Coldharbour as a poor selling point illustrates you have no idea what you are talking about, and you have ignored my point repeatedly about access to all Guild Stores you are in via a bank. I guess as its a very good point of mine, and you have no counter. Same for the other responses. But troll away fella, I'm off to do some more trading :)

Maybe some are, I am not, just a normal player, and have made multi milions, so have many, and I dare say a good few in this thread alone, just boils down to knowledge and skill.

Naming Coldharbour as a terrible trade spot just highlights your lack of trading knowledge, do not know nor care what platform you are on, as its universal, its one of the main hot spots for high end alchemy ingredients, so a lot of trade guilds base themselves there, as many go there to farm mats.

    Hope you get rich, someday.

I'm neither, as a buyer I wanted access to a few good stores from my bank, so joined some good trading guilds and quickly learnt how easy it is to also sell things, especially tailored to the location of your stall. From there I've really enjoyed all aspects of trading, in particular as a buyer. Hunting down them deals. And thus I feel for people that come from WOW and miss a trick on how to trade in this game, so help people understand :)

Are you Xbox? Can suggest a few mega guilds if you need.

Actually it is very easy to sell stuff in the game, whether its in zone, or in trade guilds.

And Coldharbour as others have said, has a lot of players farming alchemy mats which sell good, and most people have the area on their to do list when buying stuf.

Sounds like a massive L2Trade issue.

No it's a massive game design issue.

You can't expect an economy that is broken up and scattered all over the place to work effectively. What you need is a robust economy that has easy access to the demand out there. Because most players are not going to spend hours hopping to different guild traders.

I'll just never understand what there is to enjoy about warping over and over again to different guild traders hoping to find a good deal somewhere. How is that fun?

Point: Market Boards make it easier for ALL players to access the game's economy, and make cash, instead of spending most of the game broke. A Market Board is available without a guild, without a fee most guilds require, is available in all towns, so all can see items being sold, has a search engine to make finding items easier, and just makes sense.

Forcing players to go without being able to sell items from lvl1 onward, until they get a guild invite, is just broken. it's a poor system. And NO, selling items through text chat/voice chat, is not a good choice. Having to spam a chat system that has a limited range, is not productive. Not to mention, as stated plenty of times, spamming your WTS nonsense in multiple cities, all in an effort to sell an item, is way too time consuming. I didn't get this game, only to be sitting in town for hours, trying to sell an item. Waste of a day!

All the points you guys have made to support the current Guild Store system, is not in any way conducive to a better economy, no a better game experience. less time spent selling items on the market Board, means more time actually doing quests/delves/dungeons/etc.. the things that are actually important in an MMORPG.

And @Jeremy yes finding the gear I want at the price I want it for is fun. It's a buzz. The gear I want is hard to farm so a iota of effort to go to a few stalls is easy in comparison.

Say I buy a set item from a trial, they take a proper setup and RNG luck, the effort into wayshrining to a few towns is nothing in comparison. I hit all major towns and cold harbour this morning and was under 20 mins. And I stumbled on some other deals.

PLUS as I've said a few times now. Join 4 good guilds and that's 4 stores from any bank in the land. Zero travel.

It's a MMORPG. and if every aspect one person didn't like / couldn't be bothered with was made simpler / no effort it would be such a dull game. We would all have it all day one!

Glad you took the time to try again @Thetwano

One thing we concur on, is the spamming text chat / WTS. totally pointless, joining a few decent trading guilds totally does away with that. I'm console and text chat only just landed (again something I would disagree with, spam city - BUT the WOW crew wanted as they had it before...luckily its off by default, But I digress)

But your last point undermines what you are trying to say, again. Basically your view is all about the game being about quests/delves/dungeons. And that's it, this trading lark is just 'in the way' is the feel.

Curious how do you feel about the need and effort to level Crafting? Alot see that as 'in the way' (there's an open thread on it tonight as it happens) and again I disagree with that. It's another part of the game requiring effort.

And secondly.how do you feel about PvP / PvE or do you do both?

You're using real world systems, to explain fantasy world systems, so your post makes no sense. Might as well compare apples to cars.
