I don't care at all, if these patchnotes are possibly incomplete or wrong.
Are you sure ? Maybe you don't. But experience shows that many people are prompt at calling ZOS "liars" on any given occasion, so they'd better not release unreliable patch notes.
Besides, if they have to remove/adjust something, we will be able to tell what it is from simply reading the 1st vs. the corrected patch notes, and then we'll know where the problem was. No company wants its wider audience (nor its competition) to be aware of their internal issues.
I don't call them liars.
But when you propose, that they are hiding something, don't you accuse them of being dishonest ?
Either way, I think this caution is soooo exaggerated.
And me as a Thalmor Justiciar at heart.... it kills me when I don't know somethingI always need to know everything. Perfection my dear
Nice one. I like dedicated people, if I see them!
I will post a picture with my reaction to this compliment soonBut I have to do my hair first and make up etc.
Because.... perfection

Unfortunately we ran into an issue with the build for PTS, and maintenance will need to be extended until we can get things remedied. We'll give you an update as soon as we can tomorrow.
Unless the issue was a heart attack of the guy writing the patch notes, you could post them ...is fine if the patch is not ready, we just want to potes.

Actually, when I hand over a finished work, be it to a customer, my boss or anyone, they're not entitled to know if and where I struggled during the actual work. It's up to me, and not mentioning it is not dishonest.
And I don't think the caution is exxagerated. If we find out that they struggle with aspect A of the system, people will "forever" mention it. Like in "We cannot trust ZOS with aspect A as proven by the update 12 issues on PTS.".
As for the "Thalmoric perfection"... errr....
They just sleep ATM. Server issues my ass. thats why we have no updates on the situation or no progress.

Why?
Of course they are asleep. It's just the pts, not the live servers. No reason to pull an all nighter to get it online, it is not critical... Waiting a day more is really not going to kill you, get a grip...

Lol, I just said the same above
I agree of course.

Paulington wrote: »Trying my hardest not to sound critical and cantankerous, I can deal with the delay because as Gina so nicely put it; "poop happens".
However what I cannot deal with is the lack of communication and the communication we have received is either:
1) Of no substance. This being either "#NoETA" or "Sorry, we're working on it".
2) In German.
Now point one is really huge. We should be getting updates regularly, every few hours or so on exactly what is going wrong (an issue with the patch, an issue with the server, etc) and their plan going forward. This should be posted in a sticky thread at the top of the forum so all relevant info is visible and easily accessed.
Point two is a real bugbear among a lot of people in this game. It's absolutely wonderful that Kai is posting on the German forums and engaging the community, however it always seems to be the case that things communicated via one forum do not make their way to the other forums, be it EN or FR. If it wasn't for people translating and keeping an eye on the DE forums we wouldn't know a single thing about maintenance being postponed possibly until Monday because none of this has actually been conveyed on the EN forums (not sure about FR).
Now I am sure we all understand that you're busy. PTS, PAX, Gina being 30,000 feet above the USA and such things. However none of that excuses the consistent lack of information we seem to get whenever something goes wrong. ZOS have promised to improve this multiple times in the past and yes, improvements have been made but it's still far from what is ideal.
I apologise if this ranted, and even more so if it seems hostile because that is not what I wish to convey. I love this game, the people in it and the team that create it so I want to see it flourish. The lack of communication during the server issues is a real problem for a lot of people and is in my opinion something the company needs to address.
Hope the PTS comes up soon, and if not then at the very least that the patch notes show up before PAX panels in about ten hours!.

Totally understand. it's probably the largest ESO update we've ever seen....
Can we have some parch notes though pretty please?

It's not that early. It's 8:30 eastern standard time.Rage_Killin wrote: »@ZOS_GinaBruno Hope you guys had a good flight. Maybe you can keep us a little more updated now? Really would hate to have to wait until Monday for any time of patch notes or pts updates.
Well you won't get any updates right now because it's too early in the US. you'll need to wait a few more hours...
