Fewer people online lately on EU PC?

Lately I'm having trouble finding groups to run dungeons, especially the ones from the new DLC. I previously had no difficulty finding people in guild chat and Mournhold was full of people. But for a few weeks there seems to be significantly less people in town and in guilds too. There is less dialogue on chat. Are they scared of the dungeons? Is it some sort of seasonal change in late summer? I've only been playing since October so I don't know what was happening this tame last year.

Hum , d'ont know , but on my guild , we take a break

. in 1 month ... all HL people did these dungeon with 100% of sucees , and 100% of reward ... but as you know ( or not ? ) they are very easy because they are for PVP boy because they are PVP stuff in . so ... now for PVE boy the game is boring ... still raid to do but ...we have 2 month to wait before the Next update .

When I entered the queue for trueflame at the beginning of yesterday evening, I got queue position 52, so I don't think that there are less people on these weeks

. Perhaps you should join the groupfinder? It's working great at the moment, keep getting groups within 5 minutes

Also, if you are in the Silver and Gold Instances, the zones tend to be emptier. And, the players who are in the zones are just there getting through the content or farming. One Tamriel should help with this.

Well, I'm not talking about them. I'm talking about the capitals. And it's normal for the PvP vet campaigns because they end in a few days and everybody wants a piece of the action.

August is always a quite month for online games, and now we in the UK at least are finally enjoying Summer weather (or enduring it in the case of those like me who dislike heat and humidity) it's not surprising that people are doing other things.

That said, while I've been playing less than usual because of the weather, whenever I have been in the game there have been plenty of other players around as usual. I don't do groups, guilds or PvP so cannot speak for those activities, but just generally in the cities and open world including dolmens etc there seem to be plenty of players about.

I'm stuck in vet today. Really hard to find people who don't die like flies. Did it the 2nd day it came out. On hard mode. Last week could barely find a group competent enough to finish on normal mode, after 4 hours. That's why I'm complaining about the lack of people

Its mostly because of holidays. August is always the quietest month in MMO gaming, as a lot of people take their breaks away.

Wait until school/college/university kicks back in between 1st of sept and end of october, then people will begin re-appearing. Also, as the nights draw in and it begins to cool down, more people will be online.

People tend to have a special time of the year called "vacation", where they get away from their normal life and a lot of those I know, get even away from their PC and phone - to not have to be reachable and online is for some people heaven on earth during that time. June to and including August are typical months for that in Europe.

Most of our guild has left, I don't play as much either.

Plenty of noobs around to pug through dungeons though.

Most of my guildies has left as well, now me and my wife just log in, feed horses and check mail then log out again. Feels as if the game is dying. The people that had left says it's due to no real character progression in game.

Legion is about to be released soon aswell, and while many ESO players hate WOW, many ESO players also like WOW and will play it. The release of a new expansion by Blizzard will affect the overall population of PC users. That's just how it is. Nothing to worry about however.

For example, I still play ESO at the moment, but I play less. And I'll be playing Legion, and so my activity in ESO will be more sparce.

Well you basically answer your own question i think many people is take break for the are just like im very very very disappoint in last DLC it feel that ZoS have not put in any effort at all and just hold on to dungeons so would have a DLC to put out under summer honest those 2 dungeon could have easly been put into DB DLC and also the leak of content in last DLC is outrageous and have the stomach to call it a DLC.

With leak of content in last DLC ZoS should have gave it out for free to be honest.

I've seen plenty of people on EU PC recently. Even in the Cadwell's Gold/Silver zones I'm having a hard time avoiding other players.

We've had perfect summer weather these last two weeks after a rainy July. Judging by the cars I see, my entire country is on vacation.

3 months on, and people haven't learned the SotH dungeons:
- on Monday I struggled with 4 different PuGs in VCoS, because they failed every mechanic possible, even when I explained them in detail. 3 hours wasted in total.
- on Wednesday spent 2 hours at Xal-Nur because people still weren't able to put that spice in the spring despite the boss and the trolls being safely taunted in the center. Actually spent like 30 minutes before going in dungeons searching for people.
People don't want to learn the mechanics and don't want to run those dungeons. I've wasted my crowns on that DLC, not because I can't play, but because others can't.

@Asardes: You can blame those players that "can't play" only partly. I'm assuming that most of them were using the dungeon finder for their daily random. And the SotH dungeons are just disproportionately longer and more difficult (for the same reward - 100k XP) than the vanilla or even Imperial City ones.

You get 100k XP for doing Fungal, you get 100k XP for doing Ruins. Have a guess which of the two are going to be preferred by players.

I'm not using group finder anymore since it's buggy - sometimes auto-disbands without reason - and most people I get have even lower skill than the ones I find in chat. I also have no use for the extra XP as I'm well above the CP cap and 100K XP doesn't really make any difference when the next CP is almost 900K XP.

I'm asking people in my trade guilds and in the capital city areas, specifically for the said dungeons. My main PvE guild is still small ATM and I don't always find people to run the DLC pledges with, especially SotH. And it's not even low CP people, it's CP 500+ people that simply don't know how to play, and they don't pay attention to my explanation and the mechanics. VRoM can actually be done pretty quick, if you sneak past the mobs. There are only a few choke points and of course the bosses where you have to fight, but the dungeon can be done in 30 minutes unless you attempt the hard mode, which of course is a whipeathlon even with very good players. In fact the speed run timer is set at 30 minutes, while the VICP ones is set at 40 minutes. Even if they are of the same approximate length, you can't really skip much in VICP, except the watchers.
