Console needs buff/debuff popups

Yes to the skyshard and lorebook marker!! It would be great if it marked them account wide as they are discovered on any character. Would add a nice sense of completion too not to mention it being a solid money spinner for the devs.

As for the buff timer, I don't want it personnally. I like using the visual animations, when the lag isn't so bad, I would much rather the immersive feel of looking at my character and enemies character instead of staring at little boxes all down the side of my screen. And you can't say, "just don't use them" because I would be putting myself at a massive disadvantage not using them, making me feel forced into stuffing tons of indicators all over my screen!!

Anyone who subscribes to this thought is truly the worst I'm sorry....

You are basically saying that you don't want the feature like this implemented because it would be invasive and immersion breaking. And you don't want an option to turn it off or disable it in any way because, you would not use it and that would put you at a disadvantage against those that opt to use said feature.

Therefore you are admitting that the feature indeed would improve player performance but because of your personal preference and immersion reasons, you would rather zos artificially hamstring players in an ambiguous way by omitting the feature for those that would truly benefit from it.

    Absolutely ridiculous man.

Also you are saying console players are superior because they don't rely on such tools, which is blasphemy!

Well said. That was the most incoherent and contradictory post I have seen in some time.

Definitely don't need this. Not having trackers widens the skill gap, which is good.

I don't want a prompter telling me when to push a button...

Dude, just don't use it if you would prefer not. I just can't, for the life of me, understand why you, and those of you with the same broken record comment, feel compelled to make an argument against proposed features that affect you in no way whatsoever if you just leave it turned off. Are you so narcissistic that you go out of your way just to beat on any idea that wasn't yours? It is very simple man/lady...If you aren't being forced to use a proposed option, then it shouldn't matter to you at all. So rather than go out of your way to bring your cloud of misery over everyone else, just keep it to yourself.

Reading this thread was painful. It's sad that a request for more information so users can operate in an efficient manner is seen as being lazy by some people. Out of curiosity, for all those who swear by the visual animations, how do you tell when a buff/debuff is on for things that have the same animation like major brutality and minor berserk? Or better yet, what about buffs that don't have animations at all like major sorcery? Buff timers would be nice.

I'll concede that a crown store sky shard tracker is a little much. At best, their locations should be unlocked by completing a certain percentage of achievements in an area.

Adding these to the hot bar icons would be great but may be a bit cumbersome because of bar switching. You would not see the overlays on the non active bar. So the D3 method I mentioned may not work very well. It might have to be an additional window.

Adding the icons to a side panel with just the icon picture and the timed overlay moving up or down on the icon picture would minimize area needed. You would also be able to add a debuff line as well.

Both Windows could be vertical and thin and this would cut down on screen clutter.

I also agree that all the top players on PC use a buff/debuff window and I also have no doubt that if add-ons were a real thing in the console market for ESO all the top players would be using it here as well.

Buffs could be like off on the side like either below the chat window or on the bottom left or right corner while debuffs could be just above your health bar
