    Considering the focus on a 3-way Alliance War, I would like to see 3-way battlegrounds. Since the standard "small group" size in this game is 4, 4v4v4 battlegrounds would be perfect.

    This is a good example why the dev's cannot say much, and when they do try to give us a glimpse of things to come, it is almost always taken out of context, either on purpose, poor reading comprehension, or selective reading or hearing. If for some reason things don't work out then the devs are roasted called liars and how much they lied to us, no wonder the devs don't tell us much, I cant blame them, what ever land of rainbows and unicorns where nothing ever goes wrong that some people seem to live in, can I get directions..LOL

    to be honest I think with smaller scale pvp it would be easier for the devs to see whats being most played or whos doing what and what really needs reworking plus it would take more of a load off of cyrodil lag if that's even still a thing I'm not sure just coming back to the game. I personally would love arenas I think it would add another depth to the game and when people come up with a new and interesting build it will be cool to test it in a ranked up close and personal setting without worrying about interference from others.

    Lol this thread and all the posts here are the best examples of the reasons why I love PVP so much. So much passion everywhere!

    Can't wait for battlegrounds and arenas! Always have a good laugh even when I'm on the facerolled team Lmao!

    IIRC that arena was just thrown together to showcase, and they had to manually move players into it and everything. Basically there was no supporting infrastructure or anything.

    Arena = deathmatch

    Battleground = some objective such as CTF, domination capture points, etc. Usually allows more players than arena.

    Quit too many games because of queue times. The game is divided enough as is with the huge split between PvE and PvP. Adding battlegrounds and we fracture our already small PvP community. The ESO PvP community seems to be about the size of FFXIV (about 1000 per Data Center except JP, around or less than 1000 in ESO PC NA). Since there is 3 Alliances just like FFXIV has 3 different Grand Companies (which you can change every 7 days subliminal message wtb this option for this game). I used to wait 15 minutes (Prime Time - 24v24v24) to 3 hours (usually ended up becoming an 8v8v8 match in a 24v24v24 map) per Battleground and those times were during the peak of the game. Queue times suck for small communities.

    Also balance the game first.

    I would be all up for battlegrounds so we have other PvP options but the community needs to be bigger. Not to mention premades/guilds would completely dominate and destroy pugs making battlegrounds completely boring if you're on the pug team. Would request a cap on group size such as Final Fantasy XIV's 8v8 Feast (only up to 2 people per group queue).

    I don't understand how anyone who has played this game since launch or beta, like I have, couldn't be sick to their stomach about Cyrodiil. Sure, I've had plenty of fun there, but that's between the FPS drop bug, constantly latency, the extinction of quality small scale PVP, etc.

    It used to be that I could find some action when 1vXing, now it's a maybe 1% chance I run into someone who isn't in a large raid.

    And don't get me started on IC... If BGs are anything like IC (heavily PvE related, not a real PvP update) I'm officially quitting.

    That's all DAOC Bg's were, usually it was just a Keep in the middle with an area around it (like 3 bridges)...

    Basically the thing a vast majority of people complain about, people all stacking and fighting in one keep.

    you can do the EXACT same thing already in game usually in Imperial City.

The grossest part is that those 48 people in cyrodiil will still use siege on the group of 6.

    No siege, no CP sounds good to me for BG/arenas.

    Oh I'm not worried, I was just surmising why people would want this. If I'm ever stacked within 40 people, I go somewhere else or play a different faction. I'm used to fighting outnumbered.

    Yep, this is the game killer for me. Going to drop with about 80 others if this this happens and move on to something else. ESO has an almost unique PvP experience and when these BG's drop the game has officially jumped the shark. You could do so much more with Cyrodill than instanced BG's. What a waste.

    Actually Imperial City is closer to BG. Yeah, you still can be zerged, but in my experience I often deal with fair pvp. That's why I like it.

    Not to mention taking away resources from fixing whats broken already.

    If anyone doesnt see this as confirmation they cant fix the lag then i dont know what will.

    I hope they will create an intelligent matchmaking system that if you queue as group, then it would match you with other groups. Or they could just disabe queuing as group though it wouldnt be so good.

    Otherwise it would just premade vs pugs which is boring for both sides.

    I dont even want any objectives or fancy moves. I just want lag free, zerg free, gank free fair small scale pvp in 60 fps.

    What is really discouraging is the abadonment of Spellcrafting and the Justice system. Those would have been great unique experiences but yet here we are with plan for dank BG's. I was actually considering sticking with this game being they slowly seem to be improving Cyrodill. But here we are with BG's and of all things housing, instead of the Justice system and Spellcrafting.

    And if they were able to fix Cyrodil performance and get things moderately balanced, no one would even ask for BGs. At least, no one was prior to the lighting patch when performance started going to hell.

    It would be a complete waste of time for a group to queue into battlegrounds and be against a pug group with even numbers... If they wanted to fight a pug group they'd go into cyrodiil and continually wipe groups of them lol.

    I'm concerned that there will be little pre-made competition with the guilds that are left in this game. Like who will enter?
    K-hole, Haxus, Team Fengrush etc and like a couple of other groups. There won't be competitive groups in there at all times, might end up having to arrange times to fight in there with each other.
