It's gold, violet, or a very pretty blue depending on the material it is applied to.
Most of us have dyed at least one character completely based around this color.Why be normal when you can be better?

✭✭✭✭✭I run this on almost every character. Matches the VMA weapons and really shines. I am pretty sure its intentional. On some fabrics its this very cool shimmering goldish purplish color.
On one of my toons, I run a Vicious Ophidian Helm and Jack with Glass pieces around it. I use the T. Violet on the glass pieces but I had to use a different color on the VO pieces to get it to match. Looks great, just wish the dyes were a little more consistent.2 -

It is not gold, it is not purple... It is transliminal violet and is just like it is supposed to be.

The Nirncrux red is like this too; it's a dull brown in some lighting and a nice glittery red in others. I love it; it's nice and subtle.
