If Grand Overlord where to receive some extra buffs, they should be secondary supportive for the campaign.

Slight boost to movement when carrying a scroll, 5% faster res times, 50% reduction on FC timers, or something

I believe after all the dedication to get to said rank, there has to be something to keep playing, and to put up with all the kill-achievement baiting, then rolling a new toon.

No way should GO's get an additional passive. All you did was tower farm to get there in the first place. A dye, title and other non combat trinkets are all you should get.

Otherwise I want passives for my 6k or 7k hours played and 18k achievement score and it should nerf all Grand Overlords in a campaign I join to get my Alliance war abilities. Oh for subbing nonstop when it was mandatory my Ice Wraith pet should attack, my Dwemer Sphere pet should shield me, my Jesters outfit should cloak me and lastly my Striped Senche mount should rocket fire out of its backside and fly me around the map.

Not so sure about passives. But costume, different alliance rank icon, something more than just the title and color would be appropriate imo.

Well, we where talking about buffs that would apply only in cyro, because of the dedication through pvp.

A large dedication of playing time in pve should not be rewarded like that in pvp and vice versa.

And how exactly do you know that you have put more effort into the game than someone else? How do you quantify this?

Funny how people assume tower farming is 1)what gives the most AP 2)the easiest way to get AP 3)easy 4) What made GO get their ranks. Cus all of those are wrong except the third if you tower farm with more than 10 ppl ofc.

That achieve is however the reason why many ppl stop playing their GO chars. If anything it is a punishment.

Why aren't you GO yet then if it isnt requiering a lot of dedication?

Is it because you didnt want to invest the 2000 hours of pvp you need to get to that rank or did you try but got farmed 24/7? Looking at how passive agressive you are about tower farmers I bet its the later one.

I'd simply suggest a passive increasing the AP gain with a GO char by 10 percent.
That way any GO could farm the AP for buying stuff more easy.

since every GO has a target on their back i think they do deserve some very cool stuff for continuing to play on a character that will be zerged down the second anyone sees it, let them buy guards with ap to follow them around maybe buy 5 honor guards at a vendor, give them banners like from the sewer bosses, give them cool mounts, give them their own GO costume thats a variant of the emperor armo

I personally feel that as a nice incentive instead of giving that one player a buff why not give your alliance a buff for each grand overlord in that campaign?

Doesn't have to be much maybe a 0.5/1% spell and weapon dmg buff or something small like that but I just feel it's so much effort for so little reward.

I guess I'd settle for a mount too

Just think if you put that time gathering 18k achievements into farming AP you might be a grand overload yourself

Most us GO have put in more time and have way more achievement points than that. 7k played time is causal level

Would be cool to see someone achieving GO to unlock a special armor that is worn by their mount or a silk decorative cloth that drapes over the mount or even the GO's shoulders. (Too bad this would be considered a clock and probably can't happen)

I'd like to purchase or craft these types of things too but it's got to start somewhere.

I stayed up until 3am for a full week on work nights to grind Emp JUST FOR THE FORMER EMP PASSIVES. A couple months later, they removed them.

Bring back former emp passives.

I posted way back when they removed the passives that former emperors should have the option to add a circlet / small crown / tiara to their gear when they're not showing their helmet.

Grand Overlords should have a ribbon or something.. maybe a symbol of their alliance on their chest (where military ribbons would be pinned).

So many PVErs would be furious that they can't have capes too. The salt levels would be over 9000.

Given the number of former emperors that ran around in wedding dresses...I would offer...they get tiaras.

But seriously...think something along the lines of a costume or such is a great idea.
While I am quite proud of my Centurion title it would be nice to have something that is the equivalent of finishing the Caldwell quest line costumes. Might even suggest...

Centurion-Just heavy imperial armor

Praetorian- More ornate heavy imperial armor+ small cape

Legate- Super ornate heavy imperial armor

Grand warlord- Super extra ornate heavy imperial armor

Grand overlord- Cape and super extra mega extreme ornate heavy imperial armor+ a parrot for the shoulder
