What level should you go to maelstrom arena?

I just bought the orsinium dlc and I was wondering what level should I go there and actually try to do it. Also how do you get there? And finally which class is best suited for the arena?

I started at around 400 cp w/ purple gear and weapons- got to last boss round 6 where I got stuck for an hour or two. I left and came back a few weeks later around 440 with mostly gold and got to final boss- got stuck for a couple of hours and left. Didn't come back for a few more weeks when I was 490, full gold/ideal traits, etc. and finished finally after a couple hundred wipes on last boss. Now I'm at 501 I am getting good enough to farm it.

Normal mode any level if you know your class. Veteran you might want 300+

I started when i was around 300cp... I think mag nightblade is a really good class to start with, since u get heals on dmg skills, makes it a lot easier imo

Can you do it without champion points? My highest character is level 35

I beat vmsa with about 350 cp before you could save it, since you can now save it and they readjusted the cp trwe it's definitely doable with even less cp than 350.

You can easily do it as a low level. 10-49 you should have no problem doing it(with sets of course).

normal is a decent solo grinding spot for any level.

Normal mode: Any level. Literally. I leveled a character from level 3 to 50 almost entirely through nMA. Yes, you can do it even at level 3. Though I probably wouldn't recommend it.

Veteran mode: I'd recommend at least 300 CP, but skill and practice matter much more than CP. You can do it with less if you are very skilled, and there are people with 531 CP who can't complete it.
