Hello,

Again, expanding the Veteran Colossus Slayer achievement for Wayrest Sewers and City of Ash shows:

Defeat 40 Bone/50 Flame Colossi in Veteran Wayrest Sewers/City of Ash.

Shouldn't it say "Colossus"? Isn't "Colossi" for Italian language?

Thank you,

    It can be either

    colossus ‎(plural colossuses or colossi)

I think the first is more a word that would cause me to bite my tongue if I tried to say it out loud in a sentence. Or, spit as I sounded like Yosemite Sam

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

For Latin words like "colossus" that end in "us", English follows the Latin rule of turning the "us" to an "i" for pluralization. Hence, "octopus" becomes "octopi", "hippopotamus" becomes "hippopotami" and so on.

It's these kinds of interesting grammar rules we borrowed from various languages that makes English so much fun to learn as a second language.

Thank you @Nestor and @ZOS_DaryaK for your responses. Being English my second language, it's so clear now after your explanations. :)
