Best Sorc set up for Vet maelstrom?

So should I be sticking with Julianos or twice born star? Or do others work better ?

Roll a stamsorc!

On a more serious note, choices like Juli vs. TBS or what monster set you use won't make or break your run. It's practice, practice, and more practice.

Either. Barely any difference tbh. You can try Julianos and elegant with swords + kena but the swords are like 500k a pop atm. Makes your overload stupidly op.

Hmm il have a look at what I can get then! I already have the 2 sets + willpower!

Now that I have the hang of the arena on a nightblade I'm going to try my luck with a sorc! Never played the class though

I farm it with 5x julianos, kena, and torugs swords plus a random staff till I get the maelstrom one.

On the last round though I use elegance and torugs. 53k crits on the crematorial guard just makes things simpler lol

Try:
Destro
Frag, force pulse, hardened ward, inner light, and elemental blockade

Dw
Endless fury, liquid lightning, harness (nice for the soul churn dot on the 2nd floor against the last boss), surge, and boundless storm.

Overload on both and overload bar is same as dw

Works wonders for me, but mechanics are what really counts as I'm sure you found out on your other toon haha

Thanks for this! I will try this set up later tonight.

I have done a few rounds with the sorc and I am liking the way it plays. Only thing is with the nightblade you get big heals and with a sorc without a resto staff is tricky. I do like the shields I can use on a sorc though! And that overload bar is easy mode on the bosses lol

And power surge + liquid lightning and boundless heals you pretty quick.

I use destro dual, and do dark exchange for oh crap moments, and just heal by doing dps while keeping power surge up at all times

Resto bar is nice with healing ward, I just like my dw with overload and elegance Lol.

Swords have no effect on overload. You loose the twin blade and blunt passive when you go to overload. So ANY one hand sharpened would do. The most you lose is 5% on the mages fury, if you use it.

My set up is 2xkena, four julinanos armor, one piece of elegant armor and the jewelry, with a julinanos sharpened fire staff and sharpened sword on the overload bar with a defending ax, the best cheapest trait I could find for a elegant one hander, replacing duel sharpened torugs swords and it still made my overload crits go from 38k to almost 46k, self buffed. I can kill the crematorail guards in 3-4 hits

So, for vMA at least, elegant is BiS.

I can't seem to get my overload crits to go so high . Am I missing something ?

Spell damage is to low and recovery to high. Maybe need to change your enchants?
