I'm passing the torch to Gina, who will take over updating and chatting with you from here. You're in good hands.
Oh, ZOS has a team in the Olympics as well. Great
Developers doing sports. Oh boy do I have some stories about that disaster...
The gear creep is forcing groups of 4 pvp players (they love banter) to join up and do pve (which they hate).Lieblingsjunge wrote: »-Lieblingsjunge wrote: »ZOS_JessicaFolsom wrote: »We've got all groups assembled and they're investigating now.
In the meantime, what's everyone been up to in-game this weekend? New dungeons? PVP? Running through Daggerfall in your skivvies?
The new patch turned all my PvP-friends into PvE-heroes. Farmed vDSA, tried some flawless CoS-runs(Which is horrible, as I've got an extreme fear of spiders. A big apologise to the people that was on TS with me...). Havent had the chance to do HR or AA yet though
So uh, good job turning die-hard pvp-people into PvE-heroes. I never saw that one coming LOL
Well, that is good for you guys - if that DLC is a success, you might see more such content for you.
Just new gear sets really. It's great, though. Some of those people really neeeded to PvE, lelBut there's a bit too much whining among some of my friends..
Whining about what?-- too hard, takes too long or what is it?

Keep in mind that pvp players are also extremely solo minded people. Damage Dealers run with resto staves and spam Healing Ward. Tanks don't slot taunt, because taking aggro is a bad thing. Healers often run with hybrid builds and have 1-hand and shield slotted.
In the harder pve dungeons, the lowest enemies are as strong and have as many hitpoints and mitigation as the Emperor/Empress of Cyrodiil. The bosses have difficult mechanics alongside millions of hitpoints.
Imagine the talk over teamspeak when the team struggles after 2 minutes in a pve dungeon.
@ZOS_JessicaFolsom thank you Q.Q
Same problem here, EU server. Trying to log in, and i get multiple different error messages. Server not found, this account is already logged in, etc...
Ah, okay! Good to know - I thought I had been missing something important for much too long!

Yeah, "fun".
So a bunch of us used to play softball together after work. There was one game where I was running to 2nd and they threw the ball to get me out, but it was a low throw. The guy swung his arm up when he caught the ball, but didn't realize I was so close and he uppercut me right in the face. Broke my nose and everything.
Then there was the game against Firaxis where a ball hit our Audio guy right in the head, and we took him to the ER.
Let's not forget another game where @ZOS_RichLambert was in the outfield and ran into a ditch, and screwed up his knee so bad he was out the rest of the season.
Oh, and there's the other game where one of our artists broke his arm throwing the ball from the outfield.
I can't make this up!

I can't make this up!Are you sure it was a softball, not darts, rugby, boxing or sumo-wrestling?
Jokes aside, I'm glad you're all alive and well. Stay away from extreme sports from now on, haha!

Is this the patch maintenance or will there be a maintenance now + one in 9 hours?

lol that seems to be true indeed.failkiwib16_ESO wrote: »The gear creep is forcing groups of 4 pvp players (they love banter) to join up and do pve (which they hate).

Haha, I guess that is always this way, when one changes from PvE to PvP or the other way round - both are basically screwed at first, because it is so different.
Reminds me of a friend in EVE, who just does PvE and never did any PvP - and I showed him a fitting for my PvP ship - and he said "where is your armor repairer?" - and i explained that I do not need one, because before that repairer would have completed it's cycle I would have either won or be dead - just buffer tank and high alpha burst damage - that kind of thing was totally alien to him. Quick kill or die basically.

No, the patch maintenance is in about 8 hours. This maintenance is to address the issue where some of you either got kicked out, or cannot log in. Things were going downhill and it was starting to affect more and more people, so it was a necessary evil.
