I made one of mules a Woodelf and as short (and ugly) as possible. Here, you can see he is barely taller than the bed headboard, and his dog is half the height he is
I don't know if you can tell, but my Altmer Templar is almost as tall as Lyris Titanborn. People have even commented on how freakishly tall she is.
I will have to get her to the same place as the Bosmer and take a comparison shot with her.
Lol i'm not asking for "midgets," i'm asking for an option to make them slightly shorter. Wood elfs are by no means midgets. If you play ffxiv, lalas are midgets. Wood elfs to me, are the norm 5' tall(ish) race, where as everyone else is 6-7'' tall. For those of us that don't want a "freakishly" tall toon, it would be nice to have more options than just wood elf, for a shorter toon.

But that is what happens if you are a foot or 2 less tall - you will just reach their shoulder or chest height - mine is exactly like you say.

I chose mine to be overall not that tall - even the altmer - because I think female characters are a bit too skinny in ESO and I had to compensate with the height for it. I like my characters to be slender and athletic, but not skinny or even anorexic. Well, not my males though, they are athletic and well fed, and in average a good amount older than my females.

I agree, the skinny thing is a bit much, looks a lil aesthetically unpleasing to the eye. Kudos to ESO on the "Posterior" slider! more games need this (looking at you FFxiv w/ your flat butts!).

That doesn't make someone a midget lol. An MMO is about variety(which is the spice of life after all), otherwise you have 99% tall toons, and 1%(wood elf) toons. ESO needs more variety in the height department, in my opinion.

But this is an MMO set in the Elder Scrolls universe. There are defined racial standards, which have been well documented over centuries of Tamrielic history, and a few decades of real life, human time.
ESO racial sizing is appropriately aligned with that lore. You wanting to change it to be more like other MMO's you've played, is not.
I am just looking at the height differences in Oblivion - actually the differences are not really significant - Altmer are 10% taller than the average character, Nord and Orc 6% taller and Redguard males 3% taller, while the Redguard female is average sized.
When it comes to smaller races, Breton males and Bosmer females are average sized, while the other gender are 5-10% smaller than average, with the Bosmer male being the smallest - the female is average sized in Oblivion.
So the tallest Altmer is compared to the smallest male Bosmer 22.2% taller. If we assume the Bosmer to be 5ft, the altmer woudl be just a bit over 6ft - there are not really huge differences like we expect them to be.

Hmm.. makes sense. As it was stated a few comments ago, I think its really about the skinny look of the toons, which makes them feel a lot taller than they may actually be. But, whether its the skinny thing, or just an issue of them being too tell (for me), i'd like a small tweak here and there.
