Yeah, if i run with a group it's usually not much of an issue because the healer keeps me alive.Totalitarian wrote: »Well, in dungeons and trials, you generally have a healer providing 4k+ HPS to you
For vMA, it's just massive DPS. They kill the mob before it can attack, then move onto the next. I wish I could do that.
So basically you're asking for ways to solo content that was not intended to be soloable?

You're a glass cannon...what do you expect?
0 points into health = squishy.
Either deal with squish, redistribute, or slot self-heals.
One of the problems i always had (in PvE) with this character (see below) is the fact that she takes ungodly amounts of damage and i'm always having a hard time keeping her alive.
I thought pumping up my Spell Resistance and Physical Resistance along with a good amount of Health would get me to a point where i don't have to perma-spam vigor just to stay alive.
So i re-spec'd her with what i thought was a decent amount of resistance but it seems to make no difference at all.
I watch videos of other people with similar builds running the same dungeons, trials and vMA and they just breeze right through without their health bar moving much but i get one/two shotted in the exact same spots.
I certainly know how to block and dodge and i do deal a pretty decent amount of damage, the problem is that even trash mobs can take half my health with one hit.
I'm obviously missing something here. I have 3 other main characters and neither of them has any trouble with this.
Here are my unbuffed stats (Just Health/Stamina food):

I can already solo most group dungeons on my other 3 characters, so i'm not sure where you're going with this.
This is the only one that feels squishy.Slayer9292_ESO wrote: »FYI, using a shadow ability (surprise attack is a commonly used one) if you have shadow barrier passive, you'll gain 5k resistance, so you'll have 23-24k resistance.
I'll try to boost my resistance a bit more and see where that gets me. I though 18k would be enough but maybe not. You're a glass cannon...what do you expect?

Not exactly a glass cannon. I can get much more stamina and weapon damage if i dial down my health and resistance.
Been there, done that.
I guess the take away is that 21k health and 18k resistance is generally not enough.
What has me baffled is that my other 3 chars have a much easier time with soloing group content while having similar stats.
Interesting read, thanks for that link ...paulsimonps wrote: »https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/279426/damage-mitigation-explanation-and-list-of-options-updated-for-a-third-time/p1
this might interest you, and if not now then maybe in the future
Kind of my point with this thread, my other 3 chars have similar stats but feel much less squishy.Ep1kMalware wrote: »I'vr had no issues with 7k resistance/16-17k health.
I admit i've neglected the DOTs when assigning my CPs for this one. I might go down that route. Thanks for the tips.Ep1kMalware wrote: »you want your cp setup differentlt. I'd put 60 into hard;y/ele defender, 20 into thick skinned, rest into quick recovery. That'll mitigate a ton of damage.
for vms I dps on my bow bar mainly, and use an infused 2h sword for rally. Doesn't matter how tou setup, you could do dw for the hot from blood/craze/flurry.
make use of dot effects such as poison injection/caltrops/carve/endless hail. poisom injection is a strong dot as well
