One Tamriel without new classes/new weapons changes nothing.

Well, unless you actually have friends. If you interact with other players as individuals instead of roving obstacles to race past, it changes a great deal.

Not every player is a soldier you know, some players are just adventures who go wherever they want.

    Exactly.

Like I mentioned in another thread, when I go to enemy alliance zones, I pretend I'm a spy who needs to keep my alliance of choice a deeply guarded secret. It is a thrill to walk around under cover.

While I am a very active solider in The Queens army, I do have manners to up hold outside of the fighting in Cyrodiil... if I want to hopefully gain information about the Pact and Covenant of course. Besides, if I misbehave that's what the NPC guards are for.

You can tell yourself that the war takes place only in Cyrodiil, around the Imperial City because each alliance wants the imperial throne not just fight each other so there is no point in taking the front in all of the other regions of Tamriel. Some citizens can just be neutral, others can play the card of spying the other alliances like some quests suggest it.

In the EP storyline, Stonefalls was invaded by DC, and Shadowfen was invaded by AD. Both factions openly killing EP citizens and troops. AD even went so far as to slaughter Argonian hatchlings right in front of the player.
I don't think I have the heart to lie to myself that "the war takes place only in Cyrodiil".
Best Argonian NA and I will fight anyone for it

There is no immersion with one tamerial it is killing ESO lore.

How ever the whole fighters guild and mages guild thing might actually work MIGHT.

Sooo. Cyrodiil is everywhere, we have to slaughter every men, women and child for the glory of there faction besides Cyrodiil beacuse one person from a faction wants no part in the war that we are forced to go help are factions win it that we have no rights or free will to do what we want.

Might as well get the children and civies a weapon and push them in the middle of a battlefield with no training and get slaughtered. Good plan

Think of RL, theres a fight going on with ISIS and am I forced agenist my will to get involved with such things? No I value my life and will stay away from any war.

But I guess I am a traitor to AD beacuse I choose not to take part in the war to help them and yet they have not done nothing about it, Typical Elves.

To everyone that says the alliance war is limited to Cyrodiil... I don't think so, I finished the quests for every alliance and every alliance often deals with the attacks from opposing factions.

Also, you're not assigned an allegiance simply by being washed on the shore of a certain alliance. Don't forget that you're bound to an alliance by your race choice. The fact that we have the option to create any race in any alliance is a nice perk, but it's in no way supported by the lore. (it's possible for another race to fight for another alliance due to personal reasons, but that would be a rare case, we're talking about masses of players)

This means if you're a nord that decides to go into Aldmeri teritory, you better have a good reason and a proof of your actions or you have a high chance of being caught and accused of being a spy. Followed by torture and death ^^

I guess pleding an alligence to another faction by your own free will and showing that your willing to commit and prove yourself is not part of the world that everyone has no free will, We are just mindless slaves bound by a rule that free will is not an option.

"Freedom is slavery, Ignorance is strength!"

Exactly. It is killing the lore. And people just don't seem to get it. :(

Umm no one will be forcing you to travel outside of your alliance before you are ready or want to?
Also, this is still only a game, once you turn the computer off, it doesn't even matter lol

You leave yours running? Fan bearing wear. Thermal problems from dust. Power consumption enough to power several lights.

I almost never turn off my computers. That is how I know about fan bearing wear and dust problems. I am also greedy, and if my power consumption prevents someone else from lighting their little wimpy CFL, I am happy.

I am, too, but maybe not for the same reason.

I know that some MMO players want to streamline the game and would greatly enjoy resources that only dropped what they needed. This is the easy way out for ZOS and it would not go unappreciated by some players. For me, this is an RPG and this type of game is made more interesting by things like resources that are limited to certain locations. Not necessarily zones but things and places. If I kill a wolf in Bleakrock, I should get the same crafting resource as a wolf in Reaper's March. Just because skeevers and wolves share Bleakrock does not mean they should both drop the same crafting resource.

In One Tamriel, there is really no reason for me to be locked out of Reaper's March. It sounds like they intend to open the world. If my Level 20 EP wants to go to Reaper's March and kill wolves, the wolves should be pretty much the same in Reaper's March as they are in Bleakrock. The lions in Bangkorai should not drop the same thing as the wolves, and they don't need to be the same difficulty, but the lions in Hew's Bane should be pretty much the same as the ones in Bangkorai and the should drop the same things.

The world is not alliance locked anymore. It is not necessary to ensure that every Alliance has equal access to every resource. We can travel the world and go anywhere.

The world gets more interesting when the same two things are not handed to me on a silver platter, no matter where I go, because I am Character Level X or Crafting Skill Points Y.

For those of you who don't want that, I would not be worried. The design is firmly set in stone at this point and the odds are that they will go with ubiquitous crafting nodes based on character level and crafting skill points.
