Guilty.
I've always played games this way. I suffer from "--but I might need that later!" or "but I might find something good this time...!". And the occasions I do are terrible motivators. This was especially challenging during early beta as I was not discouraged from looking into every pot just because I could. Even if I would inevitably lose all the loot.
What I would really REALLY like to know, though, is if those fancy little collectibles we get from stealing are going to be useful down the road such as for housing. They certainly do contain a lot of descriptor information for currently being nothing but vendor trash.

But believe it or not, even with the crafting bags, it's not a solution to our hoarding. I still have to go deconsruct all that white level armor I pick up from all those dead bodies or steal. What we need now is a portable crafting station we can just set up on the side of the road to take care of our refining/deconstruction needs. Ooops, better not give ZOS any ideas. Coming to a crown store near you!

You are so right!! I could see them offering a portable crafting table in the Crown shop, lol

I have to look around every corner, check near every waterfall, open every chest, look in every sack and bag, loot every runestone, it's becoming an obsession! I constantly scan the sides of the roads and around every tree and rock for that purple glow of a thieves trove. If I am headed to a quest location and I look over and see an opening in some rocks I have to go see where it goes. I mine every ore and chop all the wood as well.
On my first dungeon experience my group just wanted to run to the boss and kill trash quickly. They passed up any containers and chests and I kept lagging behind cause I wanted to open them all. I really wondered if they were getting aggravated at me for having to play catch up the whole time.
That crafting bag did it to me!!!!!! Before I got that thing I never looted so much cause I was new and had limited bag space.
Do you just run past everything or do you loot it all? Is it pointless? Do I really need all this stuff? I mean at some point do you just have to stop and say "I have too many apples?"
