The new Breton Hero Costume...

It's really disappointing. From the back it makes your character look really wide.

And the Cloak... Ffs. When running with a Cloak on the Cloak should fly backwards. Currently the Cloak on the Breton Hero Costume, sticks to the back of your legs and moves with them, making it look much more like a Robe than a cloak.

Don't say it's because it's an MMO and you can't have anything flying backwards because you can, it didn't need to have physics, just a change of position when you run forwards to make it look like it's trailing backwards.

When running it looks really bad from the back and sides. It looks good from the front, but I don't think anyone plays with their camera facing backwards.

Real Shame. I was looking forward to that Costume.

I run with cloaks IRL.

On a windy day the cloak might "fly backwards" if you run really fast.
I think what you're reffering to is a cape.

They've managed to do it with hair (my Imperial has the braided ponytail and it bounces/trails behind her when she's running, then settles back when she stops), so it shouldn't be too difficult to replicate that with the cloak part of the mesh. That's pretty disappointing. I was really looking forward to this one, too, as I'm sure many others were. Especially a shame since it came out much later which gave me hope they were trying to make it super special. \:

I don't mean fly back majorly. Look at how the cloak looks when running. It really does look terrible. Because it does not move at all, just stays a few inches away from your legs as you move forwards. I don't think half of a Cloak move individually with each leg.

In addition, no matter what it is, Cloak, Cape. It's the thing from the Cinematic trailer which Does move backwards when the Breton Hero moves.

Taking by what was already in the game, I didn't expect anything different. That's exactly like the Treethane Ceremonial Dress works, although it looks even worse on that one's case because it is longer than the Breton Hero's cloak.

That's not the only issue with the breton hero costume.
The one handed weapons are penetrating the cloak in such a way like they cut through it(while sheathed).
It is extremely ugly.

And this is why we don't have Capes in the game, because even the Cloaks don't look right. The Devs have been telling us they would look like a board strapped to our backs for years now. This is proof of what they have been telling us all along.

In some ways I am glad this is this way, as we can now just point people to this costume as to why we won't ever get capes in the game.

If I had to guess, the artist and the person who handles character models probably did, but a higher-up decided that it was more important to push it than give them time to fix it. I try to assume the best of content creators and blame management/marketing instead because I really hope their designers care about integrity. I hate turning in half-finished or half-***ed work. And in the end, people will still buy it because it's limited.

At this point the cynic in me is thinking they want to see how much they can get away with. It's sad, because I can see the love and care that went into so many parts of this game. The monetization is getting to disappointing levels. I hope the direction they're going changes.

You know! That ZOS are enable to fix their own game but they are trying.
The devs that could fix this game are no longer in that company. Thus, we have the same dev doing a poor job in balancing classes( *cough* Wrobel *cough*).

Hence, demanding ZOS to fix costume is to much for them to handle, atm. So, be patient and don't subscribe.

Also, to be honest, the texture quality is really low. Compare it to some of the other amours and costumes around it's kinda 'Low Res'

If people would stop buying these high priced costumes and save their money for something that looks great at a reasonable cost , the marketing department would get a clue . As long as people throw money at the screen just to have something right away , this reckless behavior will continue . I wait until I can preview free in test center before buying anything or wait for Elloa to post a video .
