Is random dungeon queue supposed to work this way?

I queued this morning, heard the "ding" (a bit surprised as a DD that I got one within 20 seconds), barely saw the names and then it says the group was disbanded. Now it says I have to wait another 15 minutes to queue again.

I can understand if I was the one who quit the group (to prevent people cherry-picking in random queue), but now I have to wait even though I didn't quit, disband, or get kicked?

Seems a little lame. Is it supposed to work this way?

For what I have been reading in the forums lately, sadly this has been happening. Maybe you got kicked for no reason or simply the group disband.

I am lucky I have not been in this situation but you have to wait the 15 minutes even if you were not the one who left the group :disappointed:

    Bummer. Thanks.

It's a bug that's apparently being looked at.

    From the thread at https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/279872/zos-please-remove-or-decrease-queue-timer-penalty-for-dungeons
There are currently a few outstanding bugs with the Grouping Tool that's causing innocent group members to be penalized with the lockout timer. We're working on getting these fixed, and are also exploring temporary solutions in the meantime. We'll let you know what we're able to do, and when it can be implemented.

    Nice info, @EternalEther . Thanks!

Is the random dungeon finder supposed to work....?

On PS4 NA it only seems to work for groups that already have 4 people in them. Funny really, it works for groups who don't need to use it but choose to, but not for people who need to use it. It is either laughing at individuals for having no friends or following some political system where at rewards the collective and penalizes the individual.

I am waiting for the fix to appear in the natch potes, or waiting to die of old age - there is a race on.
    Australian on PS4 NA server.
    Everyone's entitled to an opinion.

I joined queue finder and went crafting, herd the ding the shortly after ..."name" as disbanded the group. So I took a screen grab and pm the person to see why.

Only to get a reply of "ha"

Explained I have a screenshot and I will open a support ticket.

Only to get a reply of "cool" from the guy

This is the third time some one has trolled the finder for me, Such a stupid thing to do especially as it takes 30 - 1hr sometimes to grab a group.

Hopefully zos can implement something a little better to counter these people.

I am wondering why the increase in cases like this? I used the group finder quite a bit before the Dark Brotherhood update, and never had an issue of a leader disbanding the group upon queue, back when the leader was coded to have full control.

Now that the leader is not supposed to be able to disband, I have only been in one PUG dungeon run where the leader didn't disband immediately upon the group finder notification.

It's immediately, too! As if someone is sitting with the "disband" option highlighted while waiting to hear the "ding!" (Who has that much time? Can they send me some of it? I feel I would put it to much better use.)
Why be normal when you can be better?

    Elissandra Ravenwing, Magicka Dragonknight Healer
    Lady Kalila, Stamina Templar DPS
    Stands-in-Danger, Nightblade Saptank
    Zalarah, Stamina Dragonknight DPS

The daily quests should be split so you get one for veteran and normal. More of a relevant reward for veteran than it is just now and then you won't have geeky people with no life ruining casual dungeons

The dungeon queue punishing us is a bug they need to fix instantly though.

Also random dungeons should NOT be able to disband by the leader anyway. That's completely off base from a payable online game. Doesn't zenimax have people who have played online games before making decisions? If not they need to reemploy people with knowledge
