It's true, what are Bretons good at now? Altmer have more sustain and damage, Argonians have more healing, Dunmer more damage and fire resist which is strong cause there is so much fire damage still.

Bretons are supposed to be a strong Magicka race so I argue that it is lore friendly to give them some extra magicka (12%?) or magic based damage increase. Surely they were never meant to be the weakest race at spellcasting? Lorewise, they were always strong in magic schools, which is added damage. It baffles me when people say it's lore unfriendly, but are ok that Dunmer have + Frost damage

Bretons are a defensive race, you wanted offense shouldve went Altmer or Dunmer, its not their fault you dont read.

and no they are he best race for healing giving them damage at the expense of anything else would ruin that

So how are they defensive? Dunmer have fire resist and +6% stam for blocking/dodging... Bretons are not even the most defensive! Lol

theh get a massive resist all magic what more do you want? the 6% extra stamina is not a big deal and the fire resist is very situational.

Also the 7% extra fire damage is almost useless for a templar healer, while the 4% magika cost reduction is very useful

Bretons are the best healers period.

    Argonians beg todiffer.

3000 Spell Resist is nothing. 3000 Spell Resist does not make them a viable tank in anyway because they do not have the other racials to support tanking. It is lore friendly that they take less magic damage but in a game where you can 100% Penetrate resistance this racial is completely useless. -It's also just 3% Magicka Reduction.

The spell resist is completely mitigated in PvP by nirnhoned so it's not all that powerful at all.

As for fire damage being situational, fire is still the most common elemental damage in all dungeons and PvP, so go figure how the mitigation is 'situational', if anything it's perfect.

I always prefer to play dmg/ healer hybrid so a bit of damage would be nice.

SO Bretons are NOT the best healers, it goes Altmer, Argonian, Dunmer/ Breton for healing and Breton is also 3rd for magicka dps, which btw is LAST PLACE of all the magicka passive races. How is it hard to get that they ARE NOT BALANCED.

Just give us x% more spell crit ;) , hell you can take away that 3% reduced spell cost, it's usefulness is blown from not being additive.

Id like to see bretons get a little more spell res, change that 4k+ to 5k+ to negate sharpened weapons. Also change that 3% cost to about 5-6% to make it worthwhile.

That would fix bretons as a more balanced caster build.
