I understand being upset. I understand feeling like you're not getting your money's worth. But it's not "bullcrap." It's perfectly reasonable considering the situation. Frustrating, but completely reasonable.

Shocking mentality, it is complete bull crap no question about it.

If they are going to actually tell people to not go to wrothgar then it's time to start handing out refunds.

Since they have not fixed it yet they tell people that for the player's own good. Once it gets fixed they will tell people they can go back. It's like how companies recall faulty products for the consumer's own safety.

I honestly can't believe some of the garbage I'm reading in this thread.

The situation you just described is nothing like what's current going on with wrothgar, when a product is recalled for safety issues it's because an issue has been discovered usually by the company itself. The product being recalled works perfectly fine and the user's don't know about the issue until notified by the company.

What we have here is a broken product, we don't need to be told that there's an issue, in fact it's the user's telling the company there's an issue.

And they know there is an issue because of all the reports which is why they try to keep people once moved to safety from going back and getting stuck again until it gets fixed.

Keep it up Joe, you will have your 10 stars just by posting in this thread.

I feel for the OP. It is nice the company moved him, and warned him. But if he gets stuck again, then they should move him again.

I'm sure they could make this automated so it doesn't take additional time from ZOS employees. Maybe create something on the users account page, so when they get stuck it updates the database and moves their character to a new location.

BUT how long has this been a issue 2-3 weeks come on instead of doing a 5 hour maintence for logging in or whatever ,,, why are they not focusing on a common bug that really should be fixed by now!!

You have absolutely no clue what they're "focusing on." You have no idea how much time they've spent researching the problem, what internal tests they've tried that haven't worked, what internal tests have seemed to work but failed when put under more robust testing, etc. You simply don't know.

I know ZOS is lousy at communicating, and it really gets on my nerves some times, but I also can't really blame them too much when this community, as soon as it doesn't get something as fast as it thinks it should, constantly rushes to "they're not doing anything."

Long story short my main got stuck in Wrothgar for a few days getting sent to dashboard over and over.

I sent in a ticket to have it moved to a new location and in 24hr the character was moved, awesome right! But then I read the email saying "we moved ur character but stay out of wrothgar until we can find out what the issue is with characters getting stuck in the loops, we won't be able to move your character a 2nd time."

This is bull crap! I pay for ur damn dlc and ur telling me not to go to a location I pay for and if I do my character is lost until you get ur crap together a fix the broken zone thats been broke for 4 maybe 5 months!?!?

Am I the only one that thinks this is pathetic? And why can't they move it a 2nd time?

Long as you have used the product you got your money's worth. The only way they owe anyone a refund is if both of these conditions are met:

1: The consumer decides to revoke their DLC access because they never got to use it.
2: They have no intention of re-purchasing the DLC later on.

Not my solution by the way, nor what I said. It's broken right now but not forever so for the time being all that can be done is avoid it to avoid getting stuck. Sucks, I know, but that's just how it is right now.

I wonder if they will make an exception next time they put in the patch notes they have improved performance there.

I mean it doesnt happen to everyone so the only way to know would be to go there.

The would be sort of funny. Yeah i know we said we fixxed it. But guess what, we still aint moving your characters!

Almost every patch/update there has been a section for wrothgar. They even said they "thought" they knew the issue and would be resolved with a maintenance fix a week or two ago.

Wrothgar has steadily become worse with each update, every fix they've put in place may have been a bandaid but was ripped off in a fiery raging anger and we are still faced with nothing but issues in and around orsinium.

    One day...

I think like myself... most people are upset because they can't turn in their writs. I have two characters that do all the writs and not being able to go to Orsinium is costing me a lot of gold I would normally get from doing them. First off you get the 600 gold for each coming to 3K + of gold (times two for me). On top of that, you get the return or mats, and surveys, Bev Juice, flowers, runes, etc. And if you are lucky, you can get glass piece, or even the Pysjic Potion piece. Every day this is another 2 to 25K in gold lost. Every day. I'm probably being modest on those totals too.

Why can't they temporarily move it to Craglorn, or ColdHarbor for turning in writs? This can't be that hard to do. Soooooooo ???????

I think what all these people not experiencing this bug are not thinking about is there is only one place to turn in max level writs. I have not been able to do any writs for fear of losing my character. There is no excuse for it to still be broken to this extent. I consider crafting to be a big part of this game and not having the ability to do my writs for this long is ridiculous

It's pretty rediculous actually because this isn't something that was unknown from the PC release. Basically we continue to see rushed PC releases and th n the console release is submitted with the unresolved bugs. Some get resolved while other stay unresolved for over 14+ months.

This is just another on a very long console list of issues.

I had this happen to me a few weeks back, when the patch notes said they fixed the issue.

I'd emailed them beforehand about constant dashboarding and they said "It'll be fixed in this weeks patch, along with issues of characters being stuck in Wrothgar"

The patch notes said they were fixing this.

I left my character in Orsinium after doing writs the next morning because I'm a gullible idiot.

    Couldn't login after work.

Told them in my email I only got stuck there because they told me they were fixing it.

The response I got was quite similar to OP.

Basically telling me I knew it was broken already so should have stayed away from there, and that they wouldn't move me again.

I think he was hoping that most people werent thinking about it. Because honestly who would write a response that says, I know you cant do the things you enjoy in game, because the developers cant make it work. And it has been broken for sometime now. But suck it up and deal at some point it will work.

I know many people in this thread posted ideas, but that would involve them doing work. And why would we want that? So just deal with it until some undetermined point in the future. Sorry bout your monies bro.

I mean who would respond like that?

If it was me, I would respect for the moment and do them at one level "less".

For that matter I have non-vet characters who do "max level" writs (10/10 in the first passive) and they aren't in Wrothgar at all.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

There is no justifying this crap. You turn in writs in the damn zone! Not only can you not play the dlc you spent money on, but content from the main game is cut. And the fact it's been broken for THIS LONG with nothing looking good in our immediate future!? How people think this is O K is sad and they should be ashamed. Their damn push overs. You are mistaken. We are not ok with it but we have no choice but to tolerate it until it gets fixed. It's either that or flame angrily and/or leave.

Also good luck lighting that fire. The last time the community tried to light that fire was the protest against all the hacking on PC via Cheat Engine and people getting their permabans lifted.

But to turn in writs in Craglorn, I need to respec my character to remove her ability to make endgame armor.

Because I am not "allowed" to go to Orsinium, or I will lose my character forever (or until they fix it, whichever happens), but there is no way to turn off Orsinium without canceling ESO+.

Currently I do writs once a month, on my renewal date when my ESO+ is inactivated while the system tries to decide if I actually renewed. That is the day I can do my writs in Craglorn, so that is the one day a month I can do them.

Can we have a "disable DLC" toggle or something, maybe? This would also help those who purchased Orsinium.

For the longest time I ran Equipment and Enchanting Writs in Craglorn and Alchemy and Provisioning in Orsinium on my main, but have 5 alts that all do 1 craft each with my main being my one and only Alchemist. My alts all have their respective crafts maxed and I never did writs with them after a certain point, mainly because they were not Lv50 and thus were restricted to my faction zones. If you have an alt or alts that can cover crafting CR160 gear then leave them maxed out and then you can do Craglorn Writs without worry.

You buy a product then it gets broken. You go to a technician asking him to fix it. He tells you not to touch the certain product untill he finds out how to fix it. How long do you have to wait? Debatable of course but nevertheless this is how things work out in this case.

Hell I wouldnt step into Cyrodiil for a month if they promise to fix lag

It's a real shame that ZOS is glacier slow in fixing bugs.

I personal think that ZoS big problem is that the to many server fix bug on just for console get one bug problem it dont mean the PC have same bug and so.

I think ZoS need to hire more that focus on only fix bug on other PC or console for i guess the same people try to fix bug on both PC and console now

If it was me, I would respect for the moment and do them at one level "less".

For that matter I have non-vet characters who do "max level" writs (10/10 in the first passive) and they aren't in Wrothgar at all.

Yeah, that is fine, if I don't want to be able to make max armor, food, runes, etc..... but I do... so I'm going to respect every day just to get that 3,000 gold. Then to be able to craft max items, I have to respect back to max levels again. AND THEN... not get Pysjic Potion pieces, or purple food, or anything good in return mats. On top of all that.... it takes more mats to make the next lower level writs, and they are more expensive because you are using more voidstone vs. rubidite (as an example). If you check the stores, the voidstone is more expensive because no one is farming it.

While I appreciate being told, shut up and deal with it, and then given a solution that doesn't work... maybe you should put some thought into it before trying to fanboy.
