I'd rather have them count for 2 item set bonuses

For Zos to make staffs one handed the forum hose for everything magika would be reduced to compensate for the added spell damage and set bonus slot.
In other words, it's is more likely to be a bad thing.
Edit: and there is no reason for this change since magika builds already do very well.

Well obviously it should be the same for Bow and Two Handed too thenHave those weapons count for 2 set bonuses instead of 1

I think you misse my point based on your reply. Sps set things a certain way based on bow, 2H and staff being 2 hand weapons as they are. Changing to add set bonus or permit dual carry would require a change to the formulas.
In other word, your suggesting is not needed and if it was implemented it could be bad for builds using the affected weapons due to changes in formulas.
Please read my precious post.
Edif: and again, magika builds certainly do not need any help. They do fine as it is.

Anyone who has played Morrowind wants an Unarmed Skill line, if not also a Hand to Hand skill line too. I would so love to build a Monk and take them through this game.

They have the same base damage as a 1 handed weapon, same with bows.
