Learn the locations and farm the best way for you and your group, not others.
Tons of people go to the same locations I do and it's easy to see that some "pros" work too hard to farm when they could do it just as succesful with fewer steps
To level up my new character, I finished DB questline just to get the horse passive, as new horses have a ridiculous amount of stamina, being forced to unmount is a waste of time
Then I finished the main questlines of each area of my faction plus Harborage, all delves (for Undaunted), Public Dungeons, World Bosses, Fighters and Mages Guild.
I reached level 50 very close to kick Molag Balls.
I really wanted to skip everything else in this character, but since she's going to be my new main, I'm after Eidetic Memory too, and there a *** ton of stupid books, journals and papers locked behind sidequests.
I am the very model of a scientist Salarian, I've studied species Turian, Asari, and Batarian.
I'm quite good at genetics (as a subset of biology) because I am an expert (which I know is a tautology).
My xenoscience studies range from urban to agrarian, I am the very model of a Scientist Salarian.
I'm a casual player. I don't watch videos to learn how to play much, I just play. I don't know if I'm in an "official" grinding spot or not. I like to hang around dolmens and kill the surrounding stuff in between attacks. If that means I'm messing up a grinding spot, so be it.
If someone kindly and courteously explained that they spent time getting together and want to run a specific route and would I kindly move a little ways off, I might do it.
But nobody owns the open world mobs, nobody owns any spots. If they were rude to me I would probably just ignore them. If they tried to mess with me, I'd remember them and mess with them.
