;-; if you watch videos and find these spots how do you not know how to pull the mobs

Problem is some of you so called "pros" run as fast as you can and try to clear all the mobs before others can get to them, soooooooo , "others" have to double back pull whatever they can in the wrong "order" sometimes , just suck it up , you don't own the mobs , maybe ask others to join instead of just running in a group of 2.
The problem is you baddies are grinding new toons you don't even know how the game works and call animation canceling bad

Not sure why but its irritating.

    this attitude.

I just pull the mobs as efficiently as possible and if someone is messing up my loop, I just kill everything I can and continue... Not a big deal to me. I'm just killing stuff and moving on around the loop... Guess I'm just more laid back than others in here.

Ill admit UO was hardcore, but Everquest was the first real 3d world hardcore MMO that caused real life divorces, people getting fired from there jobs and it also was renamed Evercrack by a lot of players. Everquest is why we have the MMOs of today and that is FACT!!!!

Grinders complaining about etiquette. OMG now I really have seen everything.

I would be *** rich if I had a dollar for everytime a grinder screwed me(quester) over. From killing unique npc's that I have needed for quests to groups of two/more having one person light attack what I have already almost killed so they get to share the exp lowering mine because now it's going towards 3 or more. That last one may or may not still exist in game, but was very frustrating to expect 414exp x 3 for a mob kill and only get 160ish per when it was going on.

Oh, and then there's the "entitlement" grinders feel over an area belonging to them because OMG they popped a potion... like nobody else has ever *** used one.

So nothing makes me happier than seeing grinders get screwed over.

They need to make a DLC solely for grinders. Where there would be no quests, huge open tracks of land with plenty to kill. And instanced per group. IMO as it stands right now grinders are nothing more than griefer, ruining the game for people who quest.

also be aware that some people will actually purposefully screw with a grind in order to push you off it.

once when grinding senche tigers I had 2 guys try and force me off it by screwing with the grind. I then spent the next THREE HOURS running around in circles pulling all the mobs after me until they reset while being chased by one of the guys (the other gave up after an hour or so). admittedly I had more fun doing this than grinding. yes. it was a waste of time. but every time they saw me there in the future they were like 'oh, its you', and either played ball or left.

I don't even need grinding. For me skill points are valuable because of crafting. Seems that just collecting skyshards from silver and gold areas, WBs and dolmens and killing whatever comes in front is enough with cake and scroll. In addition to those i did cadwell silvers in first area, and got two vet. ranks. Now in second area i dropped all quests and got one rank. If i ever fail getting a rank i can do few cadwell quests and get even more skill points. By sunday i should have another vr16 with over 250 skill points.

I know how to grind just fine, but when you* skip the two centurions standing at the door just so you can kill the six or seven orcs at the top of the hill you better believe that I will drop down and kill the 9 orcs at the fire.

And if you use the 'move away from me' emote, then I will get a few guild mates and show you what XP stealing really is.

Being polite goes a long way. I was grinding rkindakeft on my own for ages, then there three guys show up and power me out. I used the join group thing, and one of ten actually messages me and told me to get out of rkindakeft. Can you imagine that like, actually thinking I'm not allowed be there?

So, if you* have an issue with grinders, try inviting them to a group and stop being so self centered.

Let me add this perspective to this discussion: A person killing mobs here and there see's a person with a big mob following them and them running. Said person thinks, oh they're outnumbered, I should help them kill that mob chasing them. They help kill the pulled mob then get flamed for killing the mob.

Can you elitists who think you are entitled to everything being your way see it from this perspective?

I ruin people's grinding even when grinding with them. My inability to stay alive for more than a couple of mins at a time and my weapon which does about as much damage as a stick, means I'm more a hindrance than a help. But hey, I have fun. That's what we are here for, isn't it?

I'm probably not an efficient grinder but always appreciate an invite from someone doing a loop more effectively than me to get max XP. But if you are a jerk about it and claim its yours or go off on me for doing it wrong I'm going to mess it up for you as much as I please afterwards. Be civil out there in Tamriel its a harsh place.

I just want to add another voice to those saying to make sure the person in question is actually trying to grind before telling them how to do it, and certainly before giving them abuse for doing it wrong.

I've been in that situation a few times - I was doing a quest where I needed to collect some number of items that dropped from enemies, or I was trying to find a quest marker, or just trying to take screenshots of some cool scenery, but whatever the reason it amounted to me wandering around an area, killing mobs as and when I come across them (or realise there's quite a few following me and I can't just ignore them any more) and then all of a sudden I'm getting messages from someone telling me I'm grinding wrong and need to watch youtube videos (presumably theirs) to be told how to do it.

In one instance I tried to explain that I wasn't grinding only to be informed that I was in a "grinding spot" and it didn't matter if the quest I was doing was only active in that area, I shouldn't have crossed the invisible boundary unless I was there to grind according to the rules of the guy who had arrived 5 minutes after me.

Actually, the best coffee is 'processed' by cats. Perhaps you should have eaten it first. Then you could roast and grind the leavings. Although, the guards may still be unhappy if they knew the preparation method...

You know...a grinder may not be entitled to an area but neither are you (questers). If someone's grinding in your quest hub could you not just try to avoid the mobs in their loop (usually pretty easy to figure out) and finish your quest without hassle?

Also here's something to think about next time a grinder seems like a ***. These people are usually up there with the simple task of leveling an alt for hours, and every few minutes a quester comes along and ruins the exp for them.

Also a PSA: Don't grind in groups of more than 2...you lose exp this way unless that finally got fixed.
