people who dont know how to grind

I was waiting for a thread like this. This has been my problem the last 24 hours as well.

Well, make sure they are actually grinding. A guy thought I was grinding once and complained that I was doing it wrong. I was actually running around that area because I could see the "new quest" marker but couldn't for my life find the npc (he was on higher ground and I didn't know and didn't see the way taking there), and killing mobs on my way so I wouldn't be killed while at it.

Also, maybe they didn't watch any videos and stumble on these spots by accident.

Either way, you could tell them of a way that you think it is more efficient.

Always run into people grinding that are pulling the mobs completely out of order. Causing chaos and broken spawn timers.

Biggest gripe is the newest spot, that shall not be named here. Many people dont do the entire loop yet just half of it. Literally leaving 10k XP behind every time. The best part is they are standing around waiting for mobs to spawn due to missing one of the little loops.

I've taken the time to show several people this, yet many just keep going thinking they are right. It gets quite annoying though. The real issue is lack of grind spots to begin with. The quests in ESO are fun the first, second or even perhaps third time. Beyond that they're just tedious walls between levels.

WTB moar grind spots.

You're telling me that killing a group of mobs (3 of them to be exact) by itself isn't better than pulling all mob groups and lure them to a central location, so that their leash range doesn't get broken, then proceed to AoE them down?!

My biggest gripe is when ur pulling mobs and some [snip] runs in and drops bombs on the mobs youve just collected or draws agro on every mob youre pulling. Etiquette is a (almost) extinct trait in ESO..

When someone is being chased by 10 mobs its kind of a no brainer that perhaps those mobs were deliberately pulled for a reason..

Its pretty rough came across a a few people in my favorite grind spot just messing it all up if you don't know how to properly pull the mobs you should just leave the spot your really wasting your time not getting the most exp possible.

its not elitist, its about courtesy and sharing. we all know the grind spots are limited so why be an ass.

Someone was spitting on me and using the 'move away' emote at the Greenshades Bosmer grind spot, apparently fishing there wasn't allowed. So I equipped all of my AOE and killed absolutely everything before he could round it all up. He soon left.

As much as I like to grind and get max XP, people need to have a bit of understanding that not everyone is grinding or even aware of the best way to do it, some people are just doing missions etc.

I'm not one to automatically assume someone's grinding. If a lone player, especially a non-vet is fighting a group of 3+ mobs, my first reaction is to either see how he/she does, or go over and help out. The only times I've ever realized there's grinding/farming going on is if there's a group of players doing it together.

No, we do not. Some of us know nothing about and care nothing about grinding. Just last night, I ran across a grinding group while questing. They actually started sending whispers to me in all-caps yelling at me not to "go over the bridge." You know, the bridge where the quest marker was sending me.

Ah, no. People are just playing the game and they kill mobs that are in front of them. I'm not going to not kill mobs because you are grinding. I won't follow you, but I will kill everything in my path when I am playing the game. You can't claim dibs on mobs.

That is somewhat true, yea, people literally have no idea how to grind right, and then call BS on you if you say anything..

However, sometimes people screw everything on purpose, so you'll leave them alone.

Sometimes when I am grinding, I am testing a new skill mix, so I want to test on small groups to get the rhythm down. If you see a VR 16 fighting small groups and pausing a lot, they might be working on a new setup.

I did and i was told to f off cuz they dont want the assists for killing mobs

Im on console i deal with people who dont do anything but cod and think the same things apply in this game

the "pros" do this because we dont want the spawn to rubberband back to there spots. maybe the "others" need to watch more videos or ask before jumping in and messing up whats goings on? ive never turned down a group for grinding,it only helps everyone. but if you come running in like capt erratic ass, im gonna say something to you.

Don't grind if to put it bluntly you suck at the game, take the time to learn it and how mechanics of gameplay works

ive seen this BS and it sucks, its basically wearing down the other guys patience for the spot. we either need more grinds or crown store speed up on levels.

in this case they were, like ive said before ZOS doesnt like us grinding so we all have to share at some point in this scenario. i try to be mindful when i attempt to grind out an alt, i cant speak for others. but i would hope the courtesy gets returned.

Man you people,

last time i bothered grinding i saw a lower vet level messing up the grind, i knew he was attempting to grind so i messaged him asking if he's grinding.

He replied with yes so i then messages him back saying he's not doing to properly and he's losing exp and that i'd show him, invited him to a group and grinded for 3 hours with him.
