Rewarding raid leads

Would like to suggest that there should be some sort of built in rewards for good raid leads. For the record I do not lead raids but I do recognize the added skill in both tactics and strategy, plus multi-tasking that it takes to be a raid lead. I've been very lucky to run with some very strong leads and let's face it, finding a guild with raid leads that align with your play style can make your PvP so much more fun and rewarding. And they do it day after day night after night. Seems to me that the game ought to have some mechanism for rewarding crown in successful groups - extra AP for successful takes or meeting coordinated goals with other groups or something. Not a reward for having crown but a reward for doing it well.

The reward is that you burn out quicker and leave eso before the rest. Its like a band-aid. You can rip it off in frustration or you slowly pull and endure the pain xD

The reward is you surround yourself with good friends and acquire more ap than you would solo. You also get recognized by your peers.

This works nice in theory. But please; Don't reward the 85-man zerg train leaders. There's no hazzle commanding someone to "EY TAKE THE KEEP!" and run over it with 85 people..

But there's some good raid leaders in this game that deserves to be rewarded for it, that leads smaller groups, constantly shouting on Teamspeak :>

Butat the same time - they are just like you and me; But they chose to lead a raid, they chose to do an extra effort for the community, and they're being rewarded with better group members.

"The army is only as strong as the hero who leads it" - AD's NPC in base(Grand Warlord Scorlin(??). A good leader get's rewarded in the fact that 1) He/She gets the praise from the group and a great group to play with

Raid leads are rewarded with AP in victory, as well as a group which continues to be loyal to them. Leading groups is a ton of stress and pressure that often goes unnoticed.

I will be wary of any reward to crown unless it does not promote zerg balling.

Most good raid leads i know understand that being able to make more ap is the reward (a, but this didnt seem to be enough with how the game is right now to keep them around. As zheg pointrd out they get burnt out quickly. Maybe a small increase in ap vs what a notmal grp member would be in order. I doubt more ap would keep them around though, as most leads hvvve more than ebough ap

I don't think there needs to be a reward for raid leaders, there's a risk of too many Chiefs, not enough Indians.

As stated in the thread, most top group leaders know the reward is successful & fun environment. I don't think there are any top raid leaders who would care about gaining extra material rewards from the role.

Most of the leaders I knew of, and believed to be worth their salt, were more looking to build a good team, be successful, and have fun. Sounds kinda soft, but at the end of the day it's a game, and both theirs and your free time, you shouldn't get aggravated or stressed playing a game.

I think some kind of achievements would be cool - maybe a new dye after 100 hours of leading a group of 12 or more, etc. - but not gold / AP rewards

A dye or a title would be good, because being a good crown is a skill and it would be nice to acknowledge it, but it would be meaningless quickly as bad crowns would still get the title somehow. I almost never lead, I hate it because backseat drivers make my ass twitch.
Sadly the number of players who think they're leaders dwarfs the number of players who actually have the right temperament

That is the worst. The solution we use is we give them a status that prevents them from using their mic in teamspeak. Then we look to see if they are staying with the raid and if they do not they get the boot.

I think discipline is the wrong word. You just need a group of good players that are on the same page. Kick the autists, but don't be a ***.

Sure, you can have success that way, but you won't beat a group of comparably skilled but more disciplined players.
