    Fine! by how much?

For the record, once ZO$ decided to nerf some skills ,then they forget about that skill and decide to nerf the rest of the class skill due to performance issues. We have all been there, and we know how underpowered the templars were.....

We, literally had to convince ZO$ that the templar class was so underpowered class compare to the other 3 classes(even now MagDK are underpowered). So, now you guys want to nerf some good skills we have that can overcome our mobility. Also, not everyone plays as a healer in this game.
I don't want to name and shame anyone, here, but hands down!

From a pve prospective I think radiant oppression/destruction is fine and would like to see the dragonknights a finisher. But from a pvp prospective I can see it being a problem, I myself have used the dark flare/radiant oppression combo quite a few times and it's great for keep defense and offense.

Honestly I think it should be left alone and other classes should get one to

You realize you are comparing a spammable regular ability to ultimates, right?

That alone should tell you something.

Complete bs. Fear is not instant brakable, never!

I only tend to use it in large scale pvp battles or pve dungeons. Theres many more eficient ways of killing the enemy. It's nowhere near as powerful as soul strike. I can one hit some enemy players with that ultimate. My advice to players who struggle against one particular type of dps is to research what it is, find out why it is killing you and spend some champion points that would help towards defence against that type of damage. All characters have their own weakness and players should adapt instead of moaning. Too many players go all out for dps and sacrifice all of their potential defence for quick kills, then ask "why is RO ripping through my thin skin"?

this gets said every single time

its always the people u see in the game abusing radiant that are the ones defending it

instead nobody wants balance, they just want to be OP with little skill required

the only time i will ever condone spamming radiant is when u are running a small group and are outnumbered and need to take out a high priority target, other than that u are just being a pleb

I have RD I don't spam it. I'd rather spam puncturing sweeps than RD. I know the strengths and limits of RD, that's why when I'm against another templar, I don't usually die to RD, because I know how to counter it. Not to say I haven't died to it. I have died to it a number of times to, but that's when I'm being a derp. lol.

BTW, thanks for confirming that you die to RD a lot. lol. I can give you hints how not to die to it, if you want ;)

there is no way to avoid it. it doesnt break on line of sight, if u have a purge they just put it straight back on u again. im guessing u have a big group to hide behind so u think ur amazing at not dying to it. and not to mention the fact that ur a templar urself giving u the means to cleanse it infinitly. what does a dk do? what does a stam sorc do? what does a NB do? dont give me that cloak it crap. cloak is broken by pretty much every single ability in the game nowadays.

There's plenty that can be done to survive a RO attack. Increase spell and critical resistance, put plenty of champion points into spell resistance, use self heals to stay above 50% health (templar's aren't the only class with self heals). Put cHampton points into blessed and quick recovery to increase the effectivness of self heals. Sooooo many builds are entirely focused on damage when they should have at least some defence against crits of all types.

lol as a DC main, I run solo. Yes, I have been in groups, but really most groups in DC are more like protect or take down keeps rather than a ball up one (other topic though). You don't even have to be in any class to beat RD. Yeah, I'm a templar, but guess what I don't run Purge or Cleansing Ritual on my bars (although, I really should be running Cleansing Ritual, tbh). I have rapid regen and healing ward, those can save me even at 10% health. Remember also that RD is scaled off of the caster's magicka, maybe not be as significant in large scale battles, but in general, if the caster's magicka is less than say 50% it won't hit you hard enough, it won't be the cause of your death, even if you drop at execute range. It is a channel, anything that you can CC a RD caster will cancel the spell: NB? Spmabush? Hello you forgot about that? Stamsorc and DK? you do know that Venom Arrow interrupts right? Last time I check anyone can use that, so is Dizzing Swing, so Shield Charge, so unless you're running a stamSorc and StamDK without any weapons, then well... why would you? lol.

And c'mon I've broken my RD cast countless of times when people hide behind a rock or tree or walls, you probably didn't hide fast enough or heal yourself enough to get out of execute range. lol. And (as mentioned here before), if you're at max range of RD, you can simply sprint your way away from the cast, that breaks the cast. Please remember that RD costs about 4k magicka, it's not a cheap skill. Hence why I do not spam it. And it will barely do damage if you're outside execute, and even then it is still circumstantial, because if the caster's magicka is low, then it will do nothing, but tickle you.

People like you should really learn how to play, instead of complaining here in the forums. I main a templar, but I play every class in every possible build (stam and magicka), the only reason I do so is so I know (or at least I have an idea of) how each class works, what their strengths and limits are, and how I can counter them or how I can be countered by these classes. I have never send /tells or PMs if someone kills me, sure it's annoying as hell to die. It's even more annoying when you die a lot. But I don't want to complain at something that I know I can work on. Problem with people like you is that you think you're not suppose to die in Cyrodiil, if you do you just say: "Oh that class/skill is OP. Nerf it.", without even trying. That's part of the reason why this game is unbalanced.

PS. Yes, I do think I am amazing because I know how I can survive an RD spammer, but it's not because I hide in a group, it's because I yolo in, I die and pick up myself, learning how next time I won't die as much.

Spammers are are a piece of cake once you find and exploit their weakness. Especially RO spammers who are so weak and squishy that they rely on the distance between themselves and their prey. So let them pop you off, memorise their gamer tag and hunt them down for a close range assassination. Over and over again MWAHAHA!

This whole class needs to nerf. For one RD needs to be dodge able. It's ridiculous how the strongest execute in the game can't be dodged and has a 28 meter range. As far as jabs goes, make it a single target and get rid of the AoE so that Templars actually have to aim their attacks. Get rid of the extra healing done while in rune, and reduce the major mending to minor. This class is way too tanky for the damage that it dishes out.

All other executes are insta-cast and can't be interrupted. No reason Radiant Destruction should be "just like all the rest" when it clearly isn't.

It can be LOS'd. It can be interrupted. It can be out-ranged.

Just make all executionner at 25 % for pvp and pve. Radiant destruction is interruptable , blocable so don't need to be dodgeable.

Last I checked bash doesn't have a 28m range, and I don't carry a tree around with me to place in front of me as I'm getting hit by RD. The suggested counters for this move is incredibly situational

Try backing up to 30m to break.

    Hey everyone,
There are currently two running threads on this topic and this thread seems to be the "reopened" discussion. With that in mind, we're going to ask that you continue to discuss this in the more recent thread on Radiant Destruction. Let's keep this discussion on one thread. :)

    Thanks!
