I did not get to far with my thread but I agree that achievements should be account wide. You earned them not the character. The character is only an avatar. Nobody can or will get all the achievements on all characters. At this point its going to be improbable to complete all the achievements for newer players given that new content is now quarterly and ZOS has a few achievements with parameters that are at the current stage of the game impossible or overly time consuming.

Watch out. Most of the counter argument you will get is from RP'ers. They do not want certain achievements on certain characters but they fail to realize that moving accolades to the account level actually negates that problem.

I encourage you to read my thread to see how this will go but please do not revive the thread as a final answer was given.

Personally I think it is a bad idea for characters to share achievements simply because I want to know which ones have been done by each character. Nor should a level 1 be running around sporting 'Stormproof' or 'Grand Overlord' titles, it would be silly.

BUT I do agree with the consensus on previous similar topics that it would be a nice thing to be able to have an account level view of your achievements too so you could know what you had done overall.

Opinions seem to vary depending on whether you see the characters as extensions of yourself and thus it is all your 'work'... or if you RP just enough to see each character as it's own entity... (i.e. maybe you have one that would never be a vampire and thus will never have that achievement, nor would you want it displayed on that characters record even if other characters do become vamps.) - personally I tend towards the latter approach.

Only if it's an entirely separate tab from individual character achievement. Like, if you are on your character select screen you can see the achievements and which characters have gotten each one.

But I still want to see that a new character has "nothing" as you say. They haven't found all the skyshards or completed the dungeons, or gotten the skill points. Why would I not want to see that so I know where to go next to achieve my goals?

Prioritization > Participation

Trophies catagory is the only one that I'd like shared. The monster bits drop rate is so rare and random it's a pain. Most people don't have the patience to fish on all of their toons. Yes you should also share these titles forthe same reason.
