With all its flaws I voted ESO, because it is the game I play the most, well the only game atm lol.
Why would I vote from another game that I hardly play anymore or dont play at all?
Lots of people putting down ZOS /ESO , why bother coming to this forum if you hate the game so much?

How many MMO's were disqualified the year ESO won?
All of them lolFireCowCommando wrote: »PurifedBladez wrote: »ESO doesn't deserve it.

For me... not hate... disappointment.
For 2015 in the MMORPG poll, I voted for ESO and was glad to see that it won. I feel that it was deserved because the game was a lot better than people were giving it credit for, and it had a lot of potential.
This year, it is essentially the same game. They really have not done enough to move the game forward and earn a "Best MMO" title this year. Imperial City was not really a compelling DLC, given what it was supposed to be. Orsinium was a jewel, and still is, but we are not getting an Orsinium every 3 months. The two Guild DLC this month are just tiny incremental updates and neither is so compelling that it pushes ESO into a "Best" category for this year.
Update 11 is going to be too small to really do anything.
The removal of Veteran Ranks and One Tamriel are mixed, in my opinion. They needed to remove Veteran Ranks, but they just added them back in with Champion Ranks and changed things up a little. It is a marginal improvement, but there are still 16 "levels" following 50 and gear is still tied to those 16 levels. They gave Champion Points to every character on the account, which unbalances 1-50 content, and made it so that end game players can skip 15 of those 16 post-50 levels, which really begs the question about why they bothered with the 16 post-50 levels if they are only being used by new players. In some ways, I feel that Cadwell was a better game design than Champion System. I always felt that Cadwell was just a concession to how much time they had before launch. Champion System makes me feel like they didn't quite finish designing it before they implemented it.
We should have been able to walk Tamriel with any character, no Cadwell required, from day one, so One Tamriel is just them going back and trying to fix what they messed up back in 2013 and early 2014. What I wanted to see with One Tamriel is simply no more Alliance division in the PVE world. Let everyone have "Any Race, Any Alliance" by simply not asking for an Alliance at character generation. The character does not have to formally pick an Alliance until they enter Cyrodiil, but can pick a starting Alliance out of Wailing Prison or just take a random location in Stros, Khenarthi, or Bleakrock (as implied by the Prophet). The leveling zones would be the same as they are today in order to preserve two feelings: (1) there are areas bigger than me that need to be conquered, when I am ready, and (2) areas that I have beaten remain beaten and are not suddenly stronger just because I came back to them. I really don't want to play in a world that is always scaled to me. No matter where I go, the world is ready for me. The feeling of progress in the world is greatly reduced.
As an aside to One Tamriel and as a realization that the world is going to scale no matter what I say, my parting comment is to suggest that they eliminate character levels entirely. Just get rid of them. Let characters level up crafting and class skill lines as they normally would, and when one of their class skill lines hits 50, start the account on earning Champion Points. In a world where I am being scaled to Level 50 (presumably), what does it matter if my character level is 3 or 30? Just make everything based on the highest class skill line.
Go play the top voted game then, obviously you dislike this game, no game is perfect, never going to be either.

It's sad to see that happen and just sit here wishing the devs would actually fix all this crap but that's never happening. It's just gonna get buggier and buggier until everyone quits. %99 of my friends list does not play any more, my old PVP guild is dead because of performance issues with the game and cheaters... I have no reason to stick around. Solo questing got boring and with the group finder broken I can't even run dungeons which was the last thing keeping me in the game.

Copying my response from the same thread on Reddit.
Considering Zenimax is part of the package with ESO, the game doesn't deserve to win.
It's called best MMO poll, not best company poll.
Yes, because the company developing the game doesn't affect at all the player's experience. Sigh...
Then judge the experience. Not the company.
"i do not like this game because the experience is bad" is okay
"i do not like this game because it was made by company X" is not okay
/facepalm... the company has a huge affect on the quality of the game. Currently the experience is: lag, bugs, crashing, exploits, and hackers... all things this company has no idea what to do with.
But can you praise the devs of the other games and say they do their jobs perfectly? If not then you can see Sharee's point.
I don't even notice because pretty much any other company is way more competent at development then ZOS is.
The highest on metacritic rating for ESO comes from Cheat Code Central.
