Still no trial group finder?

How can ZOS release updated trial content and still not have group finder for trials? Many of us play on consoles, have a different work or play schedule than our friends, or are anti-social by nature. ZOS trials for group finder should be on the top 3 priorities. @ZOS_MattFiror

They did used to have one didn't they....it was painful you stood minimal chance at completing it via group finder. Trying to get 2 tanks and 2 healers who knew what they were doing was just grief.

Now that the normal modes can be completed with the most ambiguous groups and builds, this trial finder is relevant and needed.

With the current level of an average player, their gear and buffs they use, it seems to be a very risky idea. Given that devs had to lower difficulty of normal SO while scaling it up cp160, I'd say not many guild-organized groups were capable of finishing it, let alone completely random group of people with no voice chat.

antisocial people by nature should avoid large groups of random people. Furthermore.. Most players are pretty bad pve wise,s I'd say about 25-30% struggle with 'harder' content. That being said, organizing and leading trials with decennt players can be hard enough, but wetnoodle dead dps, healers that die every 2ft spamming breath of life, you tank is a petbuild sorc who's main survivability skill is clanfear and storm atro...

yeah, good idea for 12man raids where 1 screwball can sink the ship. This is exactlt how we'll get our trials nerfed to pillow fight status.

I have a hard time believing you're not exaggerating there. If you're not than the best players would be able to solo them.

I have a hard time believing you're not exaggerating there. If you're not than the best players would be able to solo them.

even if thay were the case, which it's not because group mechanics, you'd still have 11 players in your group that need to stfu and listen. Goodluck witj that. ;ast boss on nor,al sanctum still has 30mil health and a few mechanics that need to be followed. It's easy foe us because we don't *** around.

while i have wanted this for a long time i will say they need to get the regular group finder working but i would love to see this added one day soon it can be hard to find 12 for a group some times

There are no Pledges in Group Finder. You have to still 1980's it and yell out "LFG" for pledges.

Sry I meant 4 man dungeons lol. Its just that I never ever used group finder after the few bad experiences so my brain defaulted to the word pledges.

LOL. You underestimate the vast gulf in the abilities of players in this game.

When I farm nMoL with the trials guild that I'm in, we kill the final boss about, er, 1/3 to 1/2 of the way through a Lunar Cycle. We just have a DPS slot a taunt and be the "off-tank" for the Twins boss. And, yes, it all looks easy, and people treat it like it's a joke.

But then I was called in to help once with a run put together by a social/trade guild, where everyone was CP160+. Many people didn't know the mechanics, and despite my explaining them, there was still chaos on the Twins as not everyone was clear on what needed to happen (they needed to see it a couple of times). And the DPS was so lacking that on the final boss, they ended the Lunar Cycle with the boss at just half health. And they couldn't burn the boss down fast enough during execute. They eventually abandoned the run after two hours. (In fairness, I've also been in runs by social/trade guilds that went well; this is just an example of how bad things can get.)

The problem with bad DPS isn't just that things die slower; it means that enemies are alive longer and able to do more damage, and it means that many crucial mechanics can no longer be burned through and ignored. On the final boss, it means that the back room needs to happen multiple times instead of just once, increasing the risk of a back room mishap wiping the raid. It means you have to explain, deal with, and survive the end-of-cycle mechanics. It means you are faced with the execute phase mechanics. So low DPS compounds upon itself and makes things a lot more difficult.

Trust me, if the quality of what I see in bad Group Finder PUGs is any indication (groups where my NB tank does over 2/3 of the group's total DPS), a PUG run of nMoL will turn out disastrously. Of course, there can be good PUGs. But it's such a huge risk.

Make the pug trial finder only unlockable after you complete the trial for the first time (or maybe even 5/10 times).

Its sad that the battle is still going on, pvers vs pvpers, what started at wow over 15+ year ago, and we didnt even get proper PVP game ever. I thought ESO was finally making a difference when gears were same for PVP and PVE players, but no, there just tons of crap, like why cant I queue to dungeons while Im inside Cyrodil? Its unbelievable genre.

I think bringing back the group finder would be a good idea. We used to have one in the past, but they removed it in the update where you could form cross alliance groups via group finder.
I personally have the group finder in good memory. We used it quite frequently to fill some free spots when doing aa / hel'ra when they were the only trials. And quite a big part of my friendlist are people that I met for the first time when we filled our trial group with randoms.
But in contrast to the current group finder you would have to allow the leader to select what roles he wants to find via group finder like it was in the past.

What Ive said over 5 year or so, why dont devs just create some F2P-raid games, why raids are always tied to MMORPGs, MMORPG just gets all kind of players so its impossible to do here, if raid is too hard, they will whine, if too easy, they will whine etc. MMORPG should be fun for all equally, in shortly said, mass entertainment. MMORPG games has enough problems already even more if they try to please everybody.

dungeon hunters was a good one. Idk, I think it's that mmos offer a long standing raid system, always new skills/gear/etc. I usually primarily play mmos for the raids. Usually in the end they mess about with core game mechanics, or make dumb choices amd a new game catches ,y eye. Eso is still yl]oung though, they got alot of timw to improve, let's just hope they do.

I mean pure-raid games, just nothing else than raiding, just like some shooters only offer MP-maps, WoW introduced raiding to millions of people, so of course they need to be there.

MMORPG's budget just draws in all kind of people and then the fight is on. So mass-entertainment is much better for MMORPGs.

This is the same reason why I think game industry should have full pvp / full loot games part of it ala Darkfall.

Also, even normal SO and Maw are harder that old dungeons. Just like WGT and ICP. Remember all those nerf cries and people demanding to remove them from group finder? Same will happen if trials will be added to this tool. A lot of angry and disappointed people who wasted a lot of time on wiping because they got no healer and no tanks.
