Gold for barbershop!
But if you want new hairstyles then you have to purchase it in crown store and then change them in the barbershop.
Also, for appearance change its stated that its crown store purchase.

Imryll✭✭✭✭✭Crowns for race changes and style packs, gold for visits to the barber shop. And I'm hoping body changes will be treated like hair/tattoo changes. I'd love to make some minor adjustments to my characters--but wouldn't pay crowns or even a large amount of gold (other than for new styles--and once purchased I'd expect those styles to be available to all my characters at character creation and for gold). Although I did get into a heated argument with a guild member who kept saying that it said it will be a token system....yeh tokens, token of name change, token of race change, token of appearance change you buy from the crown store lol...
