We night blades are sneaky. I don't know how many times I have stayed alive inside the inner keep after taking the walls down and the defending force never sweeps the keep for nightblades.

O look a free scroll no one is guarding and no one bothered to look for a cloaked Nightblade.

As others have said why again?

This has been part of Cyrodiil since the start in one form or another. The Nightblade shade trick has never been fixed, you can also still use lotus/ambush and projecting bubble to get into keeps with NPC use.

This isn't something I really agree with but it's something ZOS have never been able to fix, and although somewhere on these forums there is a post stating bypassing keep walls without taking them down is an exploit, they have never enforced it.
Yep, and let's not forget that exploits are just 'gray areas'.

Most of the purposes of walls are defeated if players can easily bypass them without knocking them down. Keep battles, of course, is a core feature of Cyrodiil. I think it's important to protect the integrity of it.

If Cyrodiil was populated only by enthusiasts, it would be reasonable accept that standing too close to the edge of a wall can result in problems. However, Cyrodiil seems to be mostly populated by randoms and casuals who will not get the message.

I'd rather have leaping into keeps then 1000 lines of LOS and altitude calculation code attached to every gap closer so that they don't work.

There has to be some other way to prevent keep cheese. Make interior guards 50% stronger against enemies inside a keep when the keep is not flagged and the walls are above 50%.

Gap closers are broken enough. They should just be reverted to they way there were in 1.5 when only toppling charge was broken.

The nb teleporting into walls needs fixing asap one muppet on my alliance keeps allowing one from another to port into a keep to grab their scroll they die and my alliance member grabs it and takes it back to their gate. Like wtf. I wouldn't have a problem of people found a way in that didn't involve people on my team stopping to low pathetic levels but this is just exploiting bugs hopefully they both get banned

In DAOC Nightblades could climb the keep walls. That was always very interesting. So I do not mind players teleporting or flying to targets that are to close to the edge of keep walls. Keeps it fun.

I completely agree! I loved when DAOC added this. By the way, I am one of those archers that gets wrecked by the leaping DK. I should not be allowed to constantly kill others from the wall without some possible threat. This keeps the game balanced.

Alright. Consider this. A DK jumps in an empty keep on NPC(yes, NPC). Kills the NPC on flags and then sieges from inside. You don't even see it on map until it's too late. Let me ask you. Is it a fun element in the game for you if you spent 1 hour fighting at the keep to take it or defend it earlier?

If the alternative is that lone DK sieging from the outside gets zerged down by 40+ defenders with an emp, youre damned right its better for the DK.

And that's why I stopped believing you were for the game. Not that it matters a slightest sausage.

Sieging a keep down solo means you're likely to get attacked by one or more people and would have to deal with that. Whether it's 40+ people or 2, it's the same thing. Defending it in any way is the same as defending the use of CE, just because you can it means you should.

I don't honestly see the problem with people leaping into keeps, especially dks. Should actually be a thing but it's different when whole groups jump a wall before its flagged with the wall glitch.

I did this by accident yesterday when I thought I had someone targeted on the door but had tab targeted someone on the grill over the door at a keep and crit rushed straight up onto the keep. I've also crit rushed into a rock when someone was on the other side of it and got stuck inside the rock and had several instances of crit rushing into a load screen. Gap closers are borked at the moment in other ways than ZOS deleting the Y axis on them. You'd think a fix would be an urgent priority.

And you think there is any fun in that? If this is justified, then zergs are too and so is every other damned exploit in the game. The keep walls are there for a reason and wall repairing kits are not just there to spend AP. Also, no one asked that lone DK to take the keep solo. Do it the right way. Get players from your faction to do it. Specially when you're on higher pop than other factions.

Yes, last night there were loads of players jumping up onto the walls of keeps, I have no idea how they did this as it wasn't Dragon Leap.
It made my life very difficult as a Templar trying to keep them out of our building, but a quickly placed Piercing Javelin knocked them back off again.
However, what it is the point of having siege weapons when players can just jump into the keep?

I was at sejanus yesterday and couldn't activate Empowering chains on even ground to port to an npc. I tried two different ones. My character just kept twitching. And this was while we both were standing on the pavement at the main gate.

2 days ago. In haderus. Was with 2 other dc. We open outer wall. I followed them to the very top of stairs. As I stood by watching them dk leap on to a npc on keep. Those 2 took a whole keep by themselves.

With no inner wall broken :( I stayed attacking npc's on outside. Couldn't do anything. Have no seige. To far from dc resource. My other got destroyed. I had no fun. No offense. I also prefer using seige. Love seige. But not this.

When it was just a few places to stand in stupid, it was one thing. Now it's pretty much everywhere. The worst is leaping through grates.

@NBrookus Zenimax should update the animation so that when someone leaps on an enemy that makes it in the gate that the leaper slams against the door and takes damage! Now that would be funny as h*ll to watch...... https://youtu.be/DhRll9EpyMY
