I feel for that the crafting bags need to be a Crown Store purchase, just like the expansions.
Why? it's simple. What kind of message are you sending to those that purchased all the content? You are telling them they have to subscribe to get this. And if they subscribe, there would have been no point in purchasing anything previous because you get that with the subscription.
I really hope soon that crafting bags are added to the crown store.

The crafting bags ...are a base game patch feature just like poisons, champion system, name plates, etc according to ZOS so these should be in game gold.
If the crown store wants to add opportunities that is fine.
If the ESO Plus wants to further extent the slots to some astronomical number, fine but there should be a basic 20 - `00 slot option or buy in game to access and then upgrade just like the bank because its an inventory feature and not any actual items.
Even ZOS writes it as a base game patch but then decides to lock that one feature behind a subscription even tho they write that all base game patch features would always not require a sub.
SMH
That is simple why it is a base game feature - if you have acquired that bag by subscription and unsubscribe, you will still have access to the bag, you can just not put anything into it any longer - it has limited functionality when unsubscribed.
@Lysette
Here is the problem ....it is a base game feature "locked behind" a subscription requirement. It goes against everything ZOS announced about Tamriel Unlimited for base game updates.
The first word in your comment "if" followed by "subscriptions" between the word "lock"
That's the problem....it's either a base game feature or not.
According to ZOS in their ESO live and in the info on Tamriel Unlimited "base game patches" are included without the need to sub. This is not the case for this one feature amongst all others as described by ZOS.
yes, the feature is included, that this bag is not ceasing to be, if you unsub, so it has to be part of the base game - but the bag itself is not obtainable without a subscription.
@Lysette
Actually no, the feature is not included. That's the whole point.
It's literally excluded to non subscribers....but only that one not the others.
It's never accessible until you subscribe.
So by default ZOS has decided to go back on the once confirmed statement that all base game update patches will not require a sub.

I think you have mistaken your word here.This is the meaning of disingenuous:
"not candid or sincere, typically by pretending that one knows less about something than one really does."
Also this:
"insincere, dishonest, untruthful, false, deceitful, duplicitous, lying, mendacious; hypocritical"
How is ZOS being any of these in regards to the crafting bag?
It wasnt advertised as part of the game when anyone started playing.
It has only just within this month been "added".It was never part of your deal with ZOS when purchasing the game.
So,they are NOT disingenuous at all.

I think you're playing fast and loose with semantics here. Yes, due to the fact that crafting bags are not tied to a specific DLC they are technically part of the "base game." However, ZOS never once mentioned crafting bags as anything but an ESO+ perk.
If they put "Crafting Bag" in its own section in the patch notes (maybe "Subscriber Perks" or something) would that really change what they are doing from disingenuous to above board?

It's the correct use of the word actually.
The crafting bag is listed as a base game patch update feature.
ZOS prior has confirmed that all current and future base game patch updates would not require a subscription but this one feature now does.
Their prior statement is now disingenuous

@wayfarerx
It's not semantics and listing the feature elsewhere would be wrong because it's a base game feature "locked behind a required sub"
The only way to make it right would be if they had something like a crafting assistant NPC that held your stuff.
If it's an item or some optional NPC or place then that is frustrating but it's no longer a base game feature which means the items in there stay and are only assessed and managed with either the purchase of a sub.
This here is literally blocking off an inventory option.
Just look at the PC and Xbox One patch notes. They literally decided to add a sub requirement to the base game patch feature.
It's like adding a sub to poisons

Hmm,..hmm,..Give me a moment.
I can see your point on the one side about the base patch,but would it have mattered if they made a whole new tiny DLC just for the bags? Wouldnt you be as upset as you are now?
I just dont consider adding the bags as being "disingenuous". That's something done with intent to deceive people.
The bags were announced quite some time ago that they were going to be for subs only,and they are.This is them being transparent in their intent.
Disingenuous indicates an intent to be false or deceitful,which they werent.

Are you going to sub just for crafting bag, knowing that the mere act of subbing is pretty much only for that, because the expansions you paid for, are a waste of money because they come with said sub??

People that pay monthly should get something for their money! "Paying customers" make the game go foward, not people that constantly complain.

If the crafting bag was DLC....I think the whole community would have negative feedback because no one asked for inventory options limited to an in-game location (DLC).
Let me write it differently because saying the bags is disingenuous isn't how the statement applies.
"ZOS's Matt F. Statement on Tamriel Unlimited as far as confirming that all current and future base game patch updates would not require a subscription is disingenuous due to their decisions to lock the crafting bags base game feature behind subscriptions only"
That's how it should read
I was vocal for quite some time on the general forums as well as PC PTS even on the datamined thread waaay back.
This isn't my initial reaction

In your way of using "paying customers" does that exclude customers who buy crowns at an average of 1500/month?
