I feel not offering crafting bags "for purchase" is disingenuous

Please hear me out. I understand that half of you will disagree with me on the spot, because you are subscribers.

But a lot of us have chosen to not subscribe, and have purchased the expansions. I would say for sure the community is split between people who subscribe and the ones that "purchase" the content.

I feel for that the crafting bags need to be a Crown Store purchase, just like the expansions.

Why? it's simple. What kind of message are you sending to those that purchased all the content? You are telling them they have to subscribe to get this. And if they subscribe, there would have been no point in purchasing anything previous because you get that with the subscription.

I really hope soon that crafting bags are added to the crown store.

ESO wants you to subscribe. They are offering something to make you question whether you should or should not sub. I would say they are on the right path.

    It's not disingenuous at all.

ZOS stated from the first mention of the Crafting Bags that they were going to be an exclusive for the players who subscribe.

The crafting bags are (as of now) only available to those who subscribe.

That's not disingenuous, that's ZOS doing exactly what they said they'd do. That's integrity.

We need more threads about this, the hundreds of comments we've had so far are clearly not enough.

Crafting bags cost $15/month, the end.

If they add crafting bags to the crown store they will lose a lot of subscriptions. Don't see it happening anytime soon.

The crafting bags are a perk to incentivize subscribing. It's a bonus if you subbed in the first place, and if you want the crafting bags but don't sub, it's a way to get you to sub. Plus you can use the crowns from subbing to buy content.

We've been over this a billion times, but it's an excellent decision for them. They make most of their current subscribers happy, and they earn more subs by giving this perk.

Yeah because I forgot to obsessively read through page after page before posting. Not all of us read the forums, 24/7, every single day.

I heard you out as I did every other post about this. It is worth it to sub if you like to hoard stuff. Otherwise it is not necessary.

You will not be subbing, clearly from your previous comment, but others may not share your opinion. ESO wants to entice people to sub. I am not sure why this is not clear.

A lot of you are obviously subscribers.

Why don't you try on some different shoes on for a moment...

You have purchased all of the content and do not sub. You love the idea of crafting bags.
Are you going to sub just for crafting bag, knowing that the mere act of subbing is pretty much only for that, because the expansions you paid for, are a waste of money because they come with said sub??

Honestly if I wasn't a subscriber and wanted the bag I would buy one month of plus just to get my million mats in there and not buy another month till I fill up again in like 6 months. Not too much of a headache. Plus you get 1500 crowns towards the purchase of your next DLC. It's a a win win.

2nd post about this today.. I would rather buy everything outright too. And before i found out about crafting bags I was going to cancel the sub and buy everything. But then things changed.

Can we please stop with these posts?

Nope, you can't put any more in but you can withdraw them as needed. Asked at the PAX East panel.
Q28: Okay so if you are like me and forget to renew your credit card and happen to miss the date it expires what happens to the stuff in your crafting bags and your sub lapses?

RL: You can't put anything into the bags but you can take stuff out as required.

Maybe I will get a month just for the bag and fill it up. Then I can still use the mats after the sub is up.

That is why you have to do "stop loss" - just like I did - I bought IC and Orsinium, but when ZOS announced crafting bags for ESO+ only, I subscribed - to stop loosing money on buying DLCs instead to rent them with ESO+ and get some benefits and crowns on top of it. Of course you can go on like you did, and buy even more DLCs until you will finally see, that you should have subsribed in the first place - so if you want that bag, stop loss, subscribe and enjoy the full game.

    To be honest,

The crafting bags ...are a base game patch feature just like poisons, champion system, name plates, etc according to ZOS so these should be in game gold.

If the crown store wants to add opportunities that is fine.

If the ESO Plus wants to further extent the slots to some astronomical number, fine but there should be a basic 20 - `00 slot option or buy in game to access and then upgrade just like the bank because its an inventory feature and not any actual items.

Even ZOS writes it as a base game patch but then decides to lock that one feature behind a subscription even tho they write that all base game patch features would always not require a sub.

10% extra exp to someone at the 501CP cap isnt much incentive to stay subbed, this is.
