Why can't we purchase the Expanded crafting inventory in the crown store?

I love crafting and deconstructing almost all of the loot that I find... but unfortunately I'm restricted as of how many items that I can store in my bank. I only have 90 slots available, and that space doesn't last for much longer.

Although as someone who loves to craft in this game... I am attempted to join the ESO plus membership to take an advantage of the expanded crafting inventory, but that is all that I want. I do not want the following extras as I'm not really that into doing a quick leveling of my char:

10% bonus to experience points gain¹
10% bonus to crafting inspiration gain¹
10% bonus to trait research time¹
10% bonus to gold acquisition¹

Why can't I just purchase the extra crafting inventory in the crown store?

For the reason that you yourself highlighted...

... because it tempts people into considering, and possibly signing up for, ESO Plus.

Its a package deal, kill monsters 10% slower and you wont suffer from the exp gain ....

Because it's an incentive to subscribe and provide ZOS with constant, reliable income.

The crafting bag does not come with a bonus ESO Plus sub, the ESO Plus sub comes with a bonus crafting bag.

The extra 10% is really not going to make a huge difference, trust me. I've subbed since launch.

Which is why the crafting bags are a sub perk and you can't just buy them from the crown store.

That being said, you CAN buy extra inventory in the crown store (both bank and character, I believe), it's just not the crafting bad.

Personally, I bought all my inventory and bank space with in-game gold. 7 characters at 200 slots and 240 bank slots.

no clue at all why there isn't some basic 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 - 100 options in game for a "base game patch" updated feature.

If you search on the forum there have been numerous threads/discussion regarding the ability to purchase the crafting bag.

Short answer - no and it will stay as a reward/incentive for ESO plus members. You can enjoy the game without it but if you are a hoarder / hardcore crafter then go ESO plus

You can purchase it, just not in the crown store - it costs 132€ per year and is available to everyone - and called ESO+. And it comes with full DLC access and 18,000 crowns per year as well.

I think eventually you'll see it in the crown store. I think they'd make more money by putting in the crown store becaise if it's not there you're alienating people who don't have or don't want a sub. Whereas if you put it in the crown store everyone has axcess to it and a LOT of people who have no interest in a sub will buy it.

I doubt that ZOS will shoot into their own foot with offering that - not that I am against it, I am not - but if I would be ZOS, I would not offer it in any other way than via subscription, if that is what I would want - subscribers.

Perhaps. But then how many subs will you lose when people say, eff it, subs not worth it anymore. I'll just use the crowns I have saved up from subbing before or black Friday sales and buy the bag outright. This is literally the only thing making a sub worth it atm to most people. I think someone did the math, you could buy crowns when they had that black Friday sale and have more than the sub perk at a lower cost for an entire year. The experience/research/gold is a moot point to most folks by now.

Lmao. The sub ISN'T worth it. I took a 3 month break from this game. Came back to it, logged on for the first time in three months, took 3 steps with my character and got disconnected. Log back in, go pvp with my buddy, get to a keep that were trying to defend against 20 or so AD guys and it is lag city and we BOTH get disconnected. After 3 months ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is better in the game. This company doesn't deserve your $15/Mo. They don't fix anything. I guess you can't really blame them. When 99% of your time is spent on crafting new mounts to hock on people.
