My biggest complaint with 9-trait sets is just how annoying and niche it is to get nirnhoned.
EVERY other trait/sind is accessible at any level or zone except nirn.
Just feels awkward now having to go back to a dead zone to get something obscure that is meh... (unless you buy it from another crafter. Even still, you have to go to Craglorn to grind RNG for stones.)

Im actually confused as to why these things werent added to the new zones. What sense does it make to create a trait that you can only find in a specific location.
It's not about endgame. It's about RP. I would never use this set while end game PvE-ing. I just hate it's limiting me to such a degree. As I said, I don't even consider this a good set [for my build] and it requires 9 traits. It's silly.
I know, I know, I'm obviously a bit overreacting, but I find this to be like something that force-feeds you the incentive to play, when the incentive itself should and *IS* coming from the game's actual content, which is actually relevant. Also, as a long-time paying consumer I'm not really happy when a game limits the way I want to play.
EDIT for question above: I RP every story content and some sets' bonuses provide enhanced experience as would be the case here. Sadly, I had to make do with Night's silence.
My plan was to make us of three seperate sets to create a thief of my own liking. Two of those, the one from OP and Morkuldin, were locked because of 9 traits. Sadly, this slowed me down for several months (and no, I won't beg my guildies for free stuff).
I craft for guildies for free if they provide the mats.SteveCampsOut wrote: »It's not about endgame. It's about RP. I would never use this set while end game PvE-ing. Nobody's going to make you "Free Stuff" unless they're a saint anyway! When he said ask guildies to make you the set, I'm sure he meant for you to pay them for their time and effort.

Do you even know how long would it take for a newcomer to get there? To learn ALL 9 traits? To earn enough money to buy the nirnhoned stuff?

Researching all 9 traits for their gear? It's literally going to take YEARS.
