Thanks for the update Casey, much appreciated.

I'll check the nvidia work around and otherwise await an update.

I know how to fix it, tried telling ESO Support but they ignored me - apparently they don't want this issue fixed. Guess I'll just fix it myself then and be the only one without these issues.

@ZOS_CaseyCoffman Could you get with @Betheny?

@Betheny @bottleofsyrup Thanks for tagging me, bottleofsyrup!

In regards to the 64bit client audio issues, we have identified the cause of them, and are looking at options to dealing with them.

In the meantime, we realize that some users have found workarounds relating to installing/not installing certain drivers, @jpsgamingb14_ESO for example had posted a workaround for Nvidia cards over here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/256261/zenimax-and-others-possible-fix-for-the-64bit-client-audio-hiss-stutter-ambient-sounds-missing

There is no ETA for this fix being deployed to Live 64bit. When we know, we will be sure to let you guys know, too

Just winced, but thank you for the update! Can't wait.

Okay, please just stop teasing everyone here with your supposed knowledge. Either share the fix or go away, because you're not contributing anything to this thread; you're just coming across as an arrogant know-it-all.

If you have the fix I'm sure I and everyone else with the audio problems would of course be very grateful. But in the meantime you just sound annoying.

I have fixed latency and audio problems for me with the 64bit client by manually deactivating the Nvidia Sound Drivers.

I am not sure if Shadowplay still works with them disabled. But if any of you have issues with the sound you might want to check out this solution.

    I use Windows 10 pro.

Following the above post I only uninstalled the nvidia audio driver software "Nvidia HD audio driver" and it fixed my problem with the sound.

Wishful thinking, worked only for a couple of days !? Doesn't make sense :-(

Nope it doesn't. I've never even installed any extra sound drivers above those I'm using and yesterday it took me 3 times of exiting and restarting the client until was lucky to have it loaded with proper sound.
So we are still waiting for a fix.

Edit: today it took me 4 tries of restarting the client to get proper sound, it is really annoying.

Sorry seemed to do it for me. And I thought to share the solution I found... Still haven't had any sound problems since I had them deactivated.

Thank you for finally some info on this issue and appreciate this problem is acknowledged and worked on although it is very disappointing that there's no fix in today's patch which I really hoped for.
Above 'workaround' doesn't work for me and many other Nvidia users so doesn't seem that was the cause.
In meantime back to patience game...

yes, i want it fixed too

Updated the PC version of the 64-bit client to help address cases of random/incorrect sounds playing
Updated the PC version of the 64-bit client to help address cases of audio static playing

Seems better after June 6 patch.

Not a single hiss, pop or squeak yet.

    Time will tell.
