I do find myself wondering how they'd deal with this situation if it were a trading platform for millions of shares of stock instead of an MMO. Then I remind myself I've seen that and it gets handled about the same. I hate developers.

Not sure who I'd rather face though. The SEC and legal arms of various stock exchanges or disgruntled whiny millennials.

Since they are still testing the potential fix and they have not committed to an ETA tells me it will be another hour before they can give an ETA. And that ETA will probably be another hour on top of that. . . .So go watch a movie and when it finishes there might be an ETA then.

As a veteran MMO player -- I'm 44, been playing these things since they were text-based thingies that you dialed into a BBS to play -- stuff like this is to be expected. I never go into a patch day or expansion release expecting uninterrupted service, although I hope for it. I hope they fix it fast, though, I wanna play! And I think they should give an extra day to ESO+ members to compensate or something, for sure, if it remains down for much longer.

I agree, seems backwards.....

On the contrary. They won't have an ETA until they know if the fix works. If the fix DOES work, then they can tell us how much time will be needed to magic it into a live server version. If it DOESN'T work, then there is no telling how long it will take to make a new fix.

It's like if your refrigerator is broken, and you ask the guy how long it will take to fix. He won't know how long it takes to fix, until he diagnoses the problem, and no amount of screaming about how valuable your time is will get an ETA any faster. If it's a relay, and if he has it on his truck, bam, 15 minutes. If it's a compressor and he needs to order the thing... see you in two weeks.... and that's if they sent the right compressor, with the right hook ups, and the compressor going out wasn't a symptom instead of the problem.

It's not pizza delivery.

It will be fixed when it's fixed.

they are a privately owned company in which u agreed to a tos that basically said if they want to they could close the server tomo never bring them back up and we can all go whistle rather than filling forums with dribble spend some time and read your tos that fyi you agreed to

Dark brotherhood is my favorite guild since Oblivion - I guess I just have a passion for doing this kind of missions. Targets are pretty much always really evil or bad people, so I do not bother with getting them to Sithis, they get what they deserve. So there is no conflict to me. Well, there was a more attractive guild in Morrowind, but with the same gameplay - Morag Tong - kind of a legalized assassin's guild, whereas Dark Brotherhood is illegal.

It was clearly supposed to be a joke, it's already June in some parts of the world, therefore saying that the server has been down all this month is not incorrect - just that not much of the month has elapsed yet. L2Timezone

trying to fix this is a joke. The hamster died and they are trying to find a new one to get the fix tested from as slow as its going....We just want a ETA of when we can play the game again. You don't need to test the fix to give us an ETA, even a guess would be better than what we have gotten

Of course they need to test the POTENTIAL fix before they can give an ETA! They need to know it WORKS before they can start working on adding it to the LIVE servers!

I think I know what one of the bugs was...runestone aspect runes were giving really rare stones each find. 3-6 stones per 1 aspect runestone location...maybe that was it.

It ain't about putting it on the live servers it's more about, hey it looks like it will be a few hours.. Just something to give us an idea of when would be nice... Even if it changes.
