With the emp we had on Haderus during the GvG, it would have made no difference in the GvG anyway. I beat the guy in a 1v1 twice then I realized it was a bit strange that he had 40k health and dropped 2 ice comets on me in like 10 seconds

Hmm, some Emps on EU hit pretty hard, 18k Proxy Dets/Soul Tethers etc.
I guess it would depend on the Emps build and the players skill.
Thoughts on the event
1. We needed another EP guild to break up the constant calling up. We had to fight nine times, which is probably twice as often as everyone else, and because of queue problems AD was late so we had to do the first four in a row. By the end of the night, we were all straight up tired.
2. The outside interference was absolutely ridiculous. We had people constantly nightblade bombing. dragon leaping, sieging, throwing caltrops, meteoring, it just got silly by the end. We even had a trebber hit us midfight that actually cost us the fight (we were winning until that point)
3. It ran really long, some of our guys couldnt dedicate more than 2 hours and needed to go early, by the time it was in full swing four of my starters had to go.
4. A lot of zone hecklers and morons kept badgering people but wouldnt participate themselves, thats just irritating in and of itself.
5. Rules were bent, not necessarily broken or purposely, but LOS was a factor early, and later on there was massive confusion because we didnt do event I thought was next (camps) and progressed straight to the island fights, which ended up being grouped instead of the planned non-grouping, which also messed us up.
At the end of the day, the event was too long, too publicized, too much interference, and even lagged a bit due to the sheer number of spectators. No excuses, win some lose some, but it deviated too much from what I thought we were gonna do. If we do another, a lot is going to have to change.

I'm really happy to hear the AD guilds arcane and fantasia did well.

I don't believe the Emp was in any of those groups (if he/she was I didn't notice anyway), so all we were talking about was AD getting a few more hitpoints which made no difference from our perspective to the outcome of any of our matches anyway, so no need to make a fuss.Thoughts on the event

You're never going to get the perfect conditions for an event held in open world and all 3 sides were subject to a certain amount of interference from the spectators, conditions etc. I know we got hit by the odd interfering yellow and red shrug but just got on with it and enjoyed the matches and the event. It is what it is given the nature of the pvp community and that interference was generally well and promptly managed by the "security" who were a great example of our community self policing. Hope to see you guys in the next one.
I'm going to say though, in yet another thread, God I hate bombard! I only did one match with Khole and I pretty much stood in one spot the whole time, taking very little damage but being almost permanently rooted in place... And I'm pretty sure we did the same to the opposing guild. I hatesssss it so much

Bombard needs to die a slow painful death. I am so over this stacked snare meta.

Forward momentum is a good start.
