Re-Trait needs to be a crafting option due to trait changes (poll)

Always thought it would be a good idea to be able to modify gear.

Would love to see crafters get a make over and be able to do some new things such as replacing traits.

I think that it should be available for people who've done the 9 traits research on an item and it should cost no less than 100k , it should also bind the item in the process to limit the abuse of such mechanic.
Let's say you want to change a dagger trait , then you should be able to replace it ONLY if you learned the 9 traits and the dagger will then be bound, afterall these 2 months of research have to be rewarding at some points.

Spent a year researching all the traits. That would be a nice reward!

They will never give us this feature, it goes against their policy of keeping us on the hamster wheel for as long as possible.

id like to be able to customize dropped gear, especially the style

i would really like to be able to change the style with the style material, say i get a imperial staff but want to change it to barbaric? i want to be able to do that,

also weapon dying, but thats off topic

It would be nice but will never happen. If people can re-trait any item, once they have the set item they want, they can change the trait on it. It takes away from people having to do the same content over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over......

The only possible debuff on a trait was nirnhoned, right? the others got improved.

So except for nirn-whatsis, everything you have is as good as you expected or better.

The option to have EVEN BETTER STUFF now doesn't mean you were gyped on what you already got.

So, i fall into the "just make more."

Got 48 spare tempering alloys and 32 rosin i could borrow

And 56 alloys and 24 rosin for me too??

Look mate, if i didnt get my investment back when level caps went up to v12, then v14, then v16, when the champ system came out, when the new sets came out, or any of the other seven/eight times the devs made a sweeping change that forced a recraft of my gear (for anywhere from 3-6 characters each time, and yes all gold maxed out suits)..... then you can suffer a trait overhaul.

Don't be so bitter lol. It's a simple poll asking a simple question "Should crafters be able to replace or remove and replace traits?"

There is currently a spotlight on the issue of having crafters being able to due more (such as trait change or style change) because of the change to traits.

I am a crafter. I have no issue making new armour every DLC and golding it out. I actually stand to make a lot of money come DB

Would be nice, and so would re-styling items too. Not going to happen though. ZOS clutches for too much on gear grind to stretch content.

    Exactly. Not a big deal.

With 140 pieces of mats and 8 tempers that cost 7k each x 7 armor pieces it is a VERY big deal

Nowadays it's too easy to get endgame materials. Probably gold tempers are the hardest and most expensive to get.

Changing traits would only hurt the economy.

Don't get me wrong, the idea would benefit me alot with 6 Max characters once DB launches, but I don't see it as something positive in the long run.

So you have the materials considering everyone who has alts at 50 will be using what's now VR16 mats at the end of the month. June 14th on consoles.

That's over 8-9k mats just for armor not counting tempers and stuff.
Cause anyone who doesn't like their new Trist had to craft new stuff

Mixed feelings on this one . The new update is going to hurt my pocket, but that's the way of MMO life... You take the good, you take the bad :(
Skye Cloude - Sorc DPS, Master Crafter. Main, the bestest
Lae Lenne - Templar Healer Trial grade.
Dromede - Stamina Nightblade, she's a newb and doesn't know what she's doing
V'oghatta - Stamplar pretending to be a tank
Ulville Thonvella - aspiring Fire Mage, be careful around her fire sticks!
Dromedaris - lost and not found. Named after a shoe, what else can you expect from her? A proper tank in her wildest dreams
Swims-Naked - too pretty to grind, too silly to quest.
Sun Flair - Dunmer Templar that can't spell for life. To bad she's too broke to afford a name change... Well, at least she's pretty...

There could be also be a timer involved in the process of replacing traits, like when you research the trait initially so you couldn't re-spec your entire set overnight.

Since there is no level (cp) increase, there has to be something to get people to grind for new gear.

No, but this is primarily due to the fact that rather than creating a shortcut to bypass the crappy system we have (RNG) we should be constantly petitioning for Tokens and Alt Currency systems that allow us to eventually purchase desirable traits in addition to the RNG of the actual runs and such for our gear.

As for gear you crafted...that's your own fault.
