That sounds like some rumors saying "if you do X, Y and Z, in this order, then you have 0.029% extra chance of getting W".

Needless to say that developing something like that would be a HUGE waste of time considering all the possible factors. RNG can be an **** you know.

Looks like the same mechanism as with dolmens, it's well established in the "old wives' club" that if you close the pins early you get cr*p drops ...

At dolmens the best answer is to make sure you yell at anybody who looks like they will dare to close a pin early that they are *ruining it for EVERYBODY* ... similar behaviour should work wonders in dungeons and make sure your group gets a guaranteed helm drop.

You can for sure get multiple heads in a row. I remember a day where I was helping some dks from my guild to farm coa and of course I get 3 helmets with usefull traits in 3 consecutive runs with the same group while the others who needed it got nothing.
For the dying part I'm not sure, but I think I also got Kena helmets when we wipe at some point.

No... Mister Helm no home, no... Need more lemon pledge....

I'm on a roll btw, it started with coa gold a few days ago, when I got a heavy headpiece with Divines. Then I went again that day to help guildies and got a reinforced light Skoria on the second consecutive run.

Afterwards on another char I got Bogdan's head, can't remember the trait, and yesterday I got a medium Divines Blood Spawn head.

It's random!!! That is the whole point of RNG. I got 3 lord warden helms in a row the other day and hadnt seen one for at least a week. All I seem to do lately is farm that place.

Helm drop rate means nothing to me, traits are the only thing that matters. I have one character that does nothing but act as a mule for my undaunted pieces. She has max bags/horse and is almost full. Only thing I care about are a handful of Divines pieces that I will probably never get. Getting a helm is easy, getting a helm in the correct weight/trait to fit your build is an absolute nightmare of a grindfest. Sigh...

I couldnt find heavy Bloodspawn helmet for my tank for a while, and when it was added to AP merchant, I bought it. Yesterday I did Spindle pledge and got an identical heavy infused helmet.

There is RNG to monster helm drops, no wierd conditions like you listed.....

First, RNG rolls for the helm to drop, then the armor type, then the trait.

I've run V16 vet dungeons and soloed them with a useless V1 before. They get the helm, I don't. Pure RNG!

The biggest badest foe in the game is RNG. You can beet a dungeon trial many times but may never beet RNG.
Some it loves, more are loaths.

I ran with a guy who got every helm writhing first two runs. Usually the weight and trait he wanted too. Me it it came after 30 in well fitted that was good. I do less undaunted due to being just fed up with it. I am still missing a shoulders after hundreds of gold and silver keys.

It's just RNG. Any attempt at finding a pattern in RNG is just you seeing shapes in clouds.

Take, for example, my runs at farming for Blood Spawn.

One day, I did 9 runs. Got 6 helms. (None of them the one I wanted.)

Ten days later, 6 or 7 runs, 3 or 4 helms. (None of them the one I wanted. And by this point, I stopped counting, hence the "or".)

Ten days later, 4 runs, 0 helms.

(Ten-day intervals because I farm on the days when it's the pledge. I eventually ended up buying my heavy infused Blood Spawn when it showed up at the vendor; I had infused Blood Spawn in every weight but heavy, and heavy Blood Spawn in every trait but infused.)

Anyway, there is no pattern. Just RNG.

Oh, and my best helm streak (of any helm) was 4 helms in 4 consecutive runs (Engine Guardian). My longest helm drought (of any helm) was... I don't know how many, well over 100, probably, since I didn't see one in nearly half a year and I am a pledgeaholic (Bogdan).

Ive been in flawless no death speed runs for specifically helm farming and no one has received one in any of the multiple runs.

Ive done just for fun runs where we wipe multiple times because 'reasons', and we've had multiple people in said runs get helms.

Ive received many in a row, and have experienced long dry spells. Heck, sometimes it seems like my chances of getting a helm actually go up after receiving one previously.

but its rng. simple randomness.
