Depends on context. 200k is a lot for a Ring of Willpower. 1m is what I would consider "a lot" for someone to have, though I know a few people who have over 5m gold. I've made it to 1m gold once, have about 400k now plus 100-150k in assets. I would have a lot more but... I spend at least 20k a day on potions

The amount of gold that always seems a lot to me is based on my current amount. That being said, if I am currently carrying 3.6 mil. gold, I consider 3 mil. to be a lot to me.

I could live through having less than 1 mil. of gold, but I couldn't bear having less than 100k. I might've become a goldhoarder by now, but keep in mind that I am always happy to help out my friends or any strangers if they're in the dire need of it

250k is a lot to me, which for some reason I have right now due to leveling my VR characters before I left. Plus I had 50k gold just randomly in my mailbox after a year away from the game. Can't complain about that

Hmmm looking at some of these answers makes my 100m answer seem like a troll post, but it is not.

I currently have 2.5m this is after recently buying full inventory slots for 2 characters so I was just under 3m. The last time I had this much I went on a 2m spending spree. So keeping in mind what I have now, and what I have spent in past I can't see what I have as being a lot. Even 10m wouldn't feel like a lot, which is why I put what I would consider a lot at 100m. I am 100% there are people in game with that as I know I could have tons more if I played the market(buy low sell high) instead of just selling what I find.

A lot of gold to me feels like having 500,000. This is because there is nothing selling for more than that amount so you ca literally buy any item you want. I have 200k in my bank arm along with a ton of gear but won't feel rich again till I am at half a mill. II go on spending sprees a lot and have a high income. I am currently hoarding materials and gold tempers/dreugh wax in preparation for next patch. I am also planning to get full gold rings and necklace vicious death. Not really because it helps at all. It really isn't worth it imo. Just because I can. I have 1 ring so far and will buy another tonight probably. There isn't any other gold rings etc I want.

I always seem to hover around 300-400k gold between my 8 characters. When a character gets over 100k gold, I start spending it on nirnhoned research, rare motifs & monster hats!

I have at least 10x that in the bank, but I still consider it a lot when I shop. Naturally this excludes me from a great deal of worthwhile gear, certain mats, etc. Most of the good stuff, in fact.

But I'd rather face the RNGesus then spend 10k+ of my gold. Also I'm very self-sufficient.

....in fact I'd rather just not part with my gold at all, so I barely shop anyway.
